Itanagar. Training program for Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission Examination (APPSCE) has been started at 6 Places in Arunachal Pradesh where more than hundred students are participating. It is an initiative of SEVA BHARATI ARUNACHAL PRADESH in collaboration with JANA PRABODHINI PUNE. The purpose of this program, which is in its 3rd year after initiated in 2012, to provide opportunity for Arunachalee community to be part of system from where they can provide bright future and clean & efficient system for upcoming generation.
Young and Dynamic IAS officer Dr. Joram Beda appreciated the initiative and urged students to utilize this opportunity as a stepping stone for career. Administrative Services is a job which will help you to change grass root situation, Dr Joram Beda added. Shri. Tagong Ketan, Chief Engineer PHE, inaugurated training programme at Naharlagun. He asked students to search for real satisfaction. He continued that, one can get real satisfaction from administrative services by changing ground reality. He appealed students to participate in large extent. Similar workshops has already been stated at BOMDILA, NAHARLAGUN, ITANAGAR, PASIGHAT, TEZU and KHONSA.

भगवा परिवार के विवादित मुद्दों पर नकेल लगाने की प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की कोशिश परवान नहीं चढ़ पा रही है। उत्तर प्रदेश में सांसद योगी आदित्यनाथ का लव जिहाद के खिलाफ अभियान थमने के बाद अब विहिप ने हिमाचल प्रदेश में अभियान को हवा देने की कोशिश शुरू की है। लव जे़हाद के खिलाफ अभियान को धार देने के लिए विहिप ने अभिनेत्री करीना कपूर को अपना औजार बनाया है। हिमाचल प्रदेश विहिप के मुखपत्र हिमालय ध्वनि के संपादकीय में लव जेहाद और धर्मांतरण से राष्ट्रांतरण को मुद्दा बनाया गया है।

लव जे़हाद के खिलाफ अभियान को नए सिरे से धार देने के प्रयास में मुखपत्र के कवर पेज पर आधे बुर्के में करीना की तस्वीर छापी गई है। इस मुखपत्र का विमोचन गुरूवार 8 जनवरी को होना है।

मुखपत्र के संपादकीय में कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी पर भी निशाना साधा गया है। विहिप का कहना है कि पंद्रह साल पहले हिमाचल में मतांतरण के खिलाफ कानून बनाने में कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष ने अपने सहयोगी आस्कर फर्नांडीस के जरिए रोड़ा अटकाने का प्रयास किया था।

लेकिन तत्कालीन मुख्यमंत्री वीरभद्र सिंह ने आलाकमान के दबाव को खारिज करते हुए राज्य में मतांतरण के खिलाफ कानून बनाया। इस कदम के लिए भगवा परिवार ने वीरभद्र की तारीफ भी की है। हिमाचल में मतांतरण के हालातों पर चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए विहिप ने कहा है कि आखिर क्या परिस्थितियां रही होंगी कि 15 साल पहले एक कांग्रेसी मुख्यमंत्री को अपनी ही पार्टी के हाईकमान का विरोध सहते हुए मतांतरण को रोकने के लिए कानून बनाना पड़ा।

ग्रामीणों ने दो सौ गायों को बचाया

जराजनगर :

छत्तीसगढ़ से नदी के रास्ते ओडिशा में प्रवेश करके रेंगाली थाना इलाके के अमलीपाली गांव के निवासियों ने 200 से अधिक गायों को कसाइयों के चंगुल से छुड़ा लिया।

बजरंग दल के प्रमोद परिडा के नेतृत्व में पार्षद राहुल पांडे, चंदन सिंह, तपन स्वार्इं, प्रकाश झा, सानू सिंह आदि ने ब्रजराजनगर एसडीपीओ चूड़ामणि नायक से मुलाकात कर गायों के इस अवैध चालान पर रोक लगाने की मांग करते हुए इस अवैध कारोबार को अंजाम देने वालों के विरुद्ध कठोर कार्रवाई की मांग की। परिडा ने बताया कि सोमवार शाम को अमलीपाली के निवासियों ने उन्हें जानकारी दी कि हत्या के लिए ले जाई जा रही दो सौ से अधिक गायों को उन्होंने रोक रखा है एवं गांववालों द्वारा रात में गायों के चारे की व्यवस्था कर ली गई है। इस सूचना के बाद बजरंग दल के कार्यकर्ताओं ने घटनास्थल का दौरा करने के उपरांत मामले की जानकारी एसडीपीओ को दी एवं एसडीपीओ ने इस बाबत रेंगाली थाने में मामला दर्ज कराने की सलाह दी ताकि कानूनी कार्रवाई की जा सके। बाद में ग्रामवासियों द्वारा रेंगाली थाने में मंगलवार को मामला दर्ज कराया गया तथा सूचना पाकर रायगढ़ के गौ रक्षा प्रमुख तथा झारसुगुड़ा जिले के गौ रक्षा प्रमुख के भी घटनास्थल पर पहुंचे।

सत्संग समिति राउरकेला की ओर से अमर भवन में आयोजित श्रीमद्भागवत कथा सप्ताह ज्ञान यज्ञ में वृंदावन से पधारे प्रख्यात कथा वाचक जगतगुरु स्वामी रामानुजाचार्य ने कथा के तीसरे दिन मंगलवार को कहा कि जब जब धरती पर संकट आया है तब तब भगवान इसका उद्धार करने के लिए अवतार लेते हैं।

स्वामी रामानुजाचार्य ने कहा कि अनादि भगवान नारायण की नाभी कमल से ब्रह्मा का प्रदुर्भाव हुआ। चतुर्मुखी ब्रह्मा के चार मानसपुत्र सनफ, संनदन, सनात व सनत कुमार थे। वे ब्रह्मचारी व तपस्वी हुए। ब्रह्माजी के कहने पर चारों ने गृहस्थाश्रम अपनाकर वंश वृद्धि की बात नहीं मानी। क्रोथावस्था में ब्रह्मा जी के भौंह से एक बालक की सृष्टि हुई एवं रुदन के कारण नाम रुद्र रखा और उससे सृष्टि को आगे बढ़ाने को कहा गया। रुद्र देवता को उनके रहने का स्थान कैलास एवं पत्‍ि‌नयों का नाम भवानी, काली, सती आदि बताया गया। महादेव ने बात मान ली और सृष्टि के क्रम में भूत प्रेत, लूले लंगड़े, काले कलूटे आदि की सृष्टि शुरू कर ली। ब्रह्माजी ने उन्हें ऐसा करने से रोक दिया और कैलास पर तप करने को कहा। अब वह स्थल कैलास मान सरोवर में है। स्वामीजी ने कहा कि सृष्टि के क्रम में कंदर्प, कश्यप, अत्रि, ऋषि आदि नारद के साथ धर्म और अधर्म को भी पैदा किया। स्वामीजी ने बताया कि ब्रह्माजी ने अपने शरीर त्याग कर सरस्वती को प्रकट किया और पत्‍‌नी के रूप में स्वीकार किया पर देवताओं को यह मंजूर नहीं था। शंकर ने ब्रह्माजी के पांच सिरों को काट दिया। तब उन्हें श्राप मिला कि सिर उनके हाथ में अटक जायेंगे और उससे भीक्षा मांगोंगे। ऐसा कर जब बद्रीनारायण धाम पहुंचोगे तो इस श्राप से मुक्ति मिलेगी। ब्रद्रीनाथ में शंकर जी के हाथ से ब्राह्मा के सिर हाथ से छूटते हैं और जमीन पर गिरता है वह स्थान ब्रह्मकपाली कहलाता है। कथा के आयोजन में समिति के शंकर लाल बलोदिया, वनवारीलाल खेतान, सुनील कुमार ंिजदल, विनोद कुमार नरेडी, गोविंदराम अग्रवाल, कैलास अग्रवाल व अन्य सदस्य अहम भूमिका निभा रहे हैं।

The issues we see today is due to the disregard and continued neglect of Dharma.  Maharaj ji said that there are many ways to describe as to what Dharma is. I was studying in the 10th standard. We had a text book on Physics. Schooling was in our mother tongue and hence the book was in Marathi. The book was on ‘General Properties of Matter’. The book was named as ‘Saamaanya Vastu Dharm’. Topics like the properties and behavior of fire, electricity, etc were in the book. Here the behavior was referred to as ‘Dharm’. The word Dharm is also used to refer to one’s duties like ‘Putr Dharm’: the duty of a son towards his father, ‘Raj Dharm’: duty of a king towards his subjects. Such duties are referenced to as Dharm. Dharm is also defined as that which enables happiness in this world and also in the afterlife. That which unites all, uplifts everyone and that which sustains everything is also called as Dharm.

Due to the neglect of Dharm, the whole world today is in distress. The exhibition here has a presentation which provides information on environmental issues facing the entire world. World over there have been conflicts whenever two extremist views confront each other. The world is engulfed in such problems not just today but since the last 2000 years. The world has also experimented with various solutions to these problems. Some of these solutions were based on faith in god and some tried to find solution without it. Finally when science came in handy, efforts were made to find solutions to the problems using it. But the situation today is that despite such efforts everyone feels despondent. Thinkers world over today are reiterating that a new solution is now required. While they suggest new ways they also stress on the fact that they will have to approach Bharath for any lasting solution. This is because of the fact that Bharath has always provided peaceful and lasting solutions to the world in the past and has adhered to Sanatan Dharm and has never infringed on other rights, despite being powerful and prosperous. It is because of Bharat’s contribution in the past that the thinkers, since the past 100 years, are looking towards us for a solution.

This is also the duty of Bharat.This is a dictum to us Bharateeyas from our culture. It is the duty of the people born in this land as our is the oldest nation. The thread of tradition and culture that has been alivesince ages is still in practice even to this day. Hence there is an expectation that we provide lessons on life to the world. Now when we look at our own selves, we come across many issues and shortcomings confronting us. But we also get to see a tradition since times immemorial of people sacrificing their entire lives to find solutions whenever the society was confronted with such problems.

Maharaj Ji earlier posed a question as to where the shortcoming was. Even great personalities questioned similarly. In the modern times, after the war of independence in 1857, when noble men who were concerned for the nation deliberated on this, four streams of reasoning emerged. The first reason was that the lack of political awareness and shrewdness among us led to the crisis situation we were in. The second was that of the ‘reformists’ who opined that our society should come out of established customs, practices and adopt a scientific way of life to solve the problems we faced. The third reasoning that emerged was that we need to go to the roots of the way of life we lead in our civilization and understand its true meaning find out a way to serve the last of the destitute and build a new society. Many saints from Swami Dayanand Saraswati till Swami Vivekananda contributed in finding a solution in this stream of thought. The other stream of thought was to pick up arms and drive the British out. All those who worked in one of these streams put their entire life at stake to pursue their stream of reasoning. But each of them used to think as to where the shortcomings were.

Dr. Hedgewar, founder of RSS was in contact of many of the great people who pursued these different streams of thought. It was then that he came to a conclusion that until such time that each and every person in the nation feels that this nation is his/hers, till then Bharat cannot become a ‘vishwa guru’ again. It was to overcome these shortcomings that Doctor Ji came up with the tool called ‘Shakha’ where the feeling of patriotism would be instilled. The ‘Shakha’ was a simple tool where people would congregate at a place for one hour daily and indulge in inspiring mental and physical activities which would inculcate the sense of bonding and oneness.

Everyone should work for the cause of the Hindu nation and Hindu society because this nation has been a Hindu nation by long standing tradition. This is not something that Sangh created. If the Hindu society comes under threat in Bharat, even Bharat would be in danger. The Sangh is working with a goal of organizing the Hindu society and making it powerful. Sangh will continue to work till this goal is achieved. After working for this many decades, people are gradually understanding Sangh and its work. Sangh aims to develop such men of character who would embrace the entire society as their own.

Sangh is a nationalistic organization and works to instill the sense of patriotism in the citizens. Seeing Sangh from outside will do no good. Hence people should come and experience Sangh from inside and become active participants only if they are convinced. It is not that only men get trained in Sangh. There is the Rashtreeya Sevika Samiti which runs Shakhas for the training of women exclusively.

So come, get trained and work towards the good of the nation. Select any task that is in the interest of the society and works towards achieving the same. With this appeal I end my address.

एनडीए सरकार देश को विकास के पथ पर लाने के लिए आगे बढ़ रही है

भुवनेश्वर : एनडीए सरकार देश को विकास के पथ पर लाने के लिए आगे बढ़ रही है। हमारी सरकार ने पिछले सात माह में 10 से ज्यादा बार पेट्रोल एवं डीजल के दाम कम किए हैं। देश में 100 से ज्यादा स्मार्ट सिटी बनाने पर काम शुरू कर दिया गया है। वर्ष 2019 में स्वच्छता अभियान जन र्आदोलन का रूप ले लेगा। गंगा अभियान पर भी काम चल रहा है। उद्योगपतियों, जनता व अधिकारियों को विश्वास में लेकर सरकार काम कर रही है। रक्षा उपकरण पर भी हमारी सरकार काम कर रही है। एनडीए जब सत्ता से हटी थी तो उस समय देश में मुद्रा स्फीति दर 8.6 प्रतिशत थी मगर फिर जब हमने सत्ता संभाली तो यह घटकर 4.6 प्रतिशत पर पहुंच गई थी। अब इसमें काफी तेजी से सुधार हो रहा है। शाह ने कहा कि देश को 24 घंटे बिजली देना मोदी सरकार का लक्ष्य है। इसके अलावा हमने योग विद्या को विश्व दरबार में रखा, यही कारण है कि 21 जून को यूएनए ने विश्व योग दिवस के रूप में मनाने का निर्णय लिया है। यह बात भाजपा के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष अमित शाह ने गत बुधवार को भुवनेश्वर स्थित भाजपा कार्यालय में आयोजित संवाददाता सम्मेलन में कही।

उन्होंने कहा कि एनडीए सरकार काला धन को वापस लाने के लिए पूरा प्रयास कर रही है। काला धन मुद्दे को विश्व पटल पर रख दिया गया है। इसको वापस लाने में कुछ कानूनी अड़चनें, जिन्हें दूर करने के लिए हमारी सरकार काम कर रही है। 

शाह ने कहा कि मोदी के नेतृत्व में हम अपने चुनावी वादों को पूरा करने में लगे हैं। हमने महंगाई पर काबू पाया है। मोदी ने स्किल डेवलेपमेंट तथा मेक इन इंडिया को कार्यकारी किया है। इससे बेरोजगारी दूर होगी। हमने स्किल डेवलेपमेंट मंत्रालय बनाया है। ये दोनों भारतीय युवाओं की बेरोजगारी को दूर करने में सफल हुए हैं। मोदी के नेतृत्व में देश का नाम विदेशों में हुआ है और बहुत जल्द हम विश्व व्यापार समझौते का हिस्सा होंगे। शाह ने कहा कि योजना आयोग को भंग कर हमने नीति आयोग बनाने का निर्णय लिया, जिसमें राज्यों की सहभागिता होगी।

अमित शाह ने कहा कि हमने अपने ओडिशा दौरे के दौरान 100 ज्यादा सदस्य बनाए हैं। 40 लाख सदस्य ओड़िशा में बनाने का लक्ष्य रखा है। हालांकि वे सीधे तौर पर नवीन पटनायक सरकार पर हमला करने से बचते रहे। पत्रकारों के बार-बार सवाल करने पर शाह ने कहा कि व्यक्तिगत गाली समय आने पर देंगे। मेरी उपस्थित में उठाया गया मुद्दा मेरा ही मुद्दा होता है। उन्होंने कहा कि भाजपा जनभावना को आवाज देने में सफल हुई है और ओडिशा में अगली सरकार भाजपा की बनेगी। भाजपा कार्यकर्ता इसके लिए काम कर रहे हैं।

'भारतीय संस्कृति को प्रभावित करता है संबलपुर'

 संबलपुर : केंद्रीय पेट्रोलियम व प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्री धर्मेद्र प्रधान ने देश के सांस्कृतिक प्राणकेंद्रों में से एक कहे जाने वाले संबलपुर को भारतीय संस्कृति को प्रभावित करने वाला शहर बताया है। वे साप्ताहिक पत्रिका स्वीकार के 19वें वार्षिकोत्सव को बतौर मुख्य अतिथि संबोधित कर रहे थे।

प्रधान ने आज के समाज में मीडिया को महत्वपूर्ण बताते हुए इसे समाज सुधारक भी बताया। उन्होंने साफ शब्दों में कहा कि देश में पेट्रोल-डीजल की कीमतों में कमी में उनके विभाग की बहादुरी नहीं बल्कि अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर पेट्रोलियम पदार्थ की कीमत में आयी कमी का नतीजा है। उन्होंने बताया कि हाल ही में केंद्र सरकार ने एक्साइज डयूटी बढ़ा दी है, जिसकी आलोचना की जा रही है लेकिन देश के विकास को ध्यान में रखकर वह डयूटी लगायी गई है। इससे प्राप्त राशि से प्रत्येक राज्य को 33 फीसदी राशि दी जाएगी और बाकी केंद्र सरकार को मिलेगा।

उन्होंने संबलपुर में जांडिस की भयावह स्थिति पर भी चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि आठ महीने पहले संबलपुर में जांडिस का मामला सामने आया था लेकिन राज्य सरकार इस पर अब तक काबू नहीं कर सकी है। अफसोस इस बात का है कि लोगों के मरने और सैकड़ों लोगों के पीड़ित होने के बाद सरकार की नींद खुली है और अब इससे निपटने के लिए व्यवस्था की जा रही है। उन्होंने राजनीति से ऊपर उठकर प्रधानमंत्री के स्वच्छ भारत अभियान को सफल बनाने का आह्वान किया। प्रो. शंकर प्रसाद पति की अध्यक्षता और अनुक्ता मिश्र द्वारा संयोजित इस वार्षिकोत्सव में स्वीकार के संपादक हेमंत कुमार महापात्र ने स्वागत भाषण दिया, जबकि अरविंद महापात्र ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया। इस अवसर पर, पद्मश्री चर्तुभुज मेहेर और संबलपुर विश्वविद्यालय के कुलपति प्रो. चितरंजन त्रिपाठी बतौर सम्मानित अतिथि उपस्थित थे

फिल्म पीके का विरोध

देश के कई छोटे-बड़े शहरों में आमिर खान अभिनीत हिन्दी फिल्म पीके का विरोध संबलपुर में भी किया गया। नववर्ष की शाम बजरंग दल के कार्यकर्ताओं ने इस फिल्म के पोस्टर को फाड़ने-जलाने के बाद इसका प्रदर्शन रोकने की मांग की। बजरंग दल का मानना है कि आमिर खान की इस फिल्म से लोगों की भावनाओं को आघात पहुंच रहा है।

गत गुरुवार की शाम बजरंग दल के कार्यकर्ता स्थानीय फार्म रोड स्थित सिटी माल पहुंचे और वहां के आइलेक्स में चल रही इस विवादित फिल्म का प्रदर्शन तुरंत बंद किए जाने की मांग करते हुए फिल्म के पोस्टर फाड़कर जला दिए। इसके बाद आइलेक्स के मैनेजर को एक ज्ञापन भी सौंपा, जिसमें इस फिल्म का प्रदर्शन बंद किए जाने का अनुरोध किया गया है। इस की खबर लगते ही एसडीपीओ उत्कल केशरी दास और टाउन थानेदार प्रदीप साहू ने सदलबल घटनास्थल पर पहुंचकर स्थिति को नियंत्रित किया।

After 15 years, RSS organises Karyakarta Shibir in Gujarat

Ahemdabad. The three day Karyakarta Shibir of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Gujarat has been organised at Kathwada near Ahmedbad from today i.e. January 2, 2015. More than 28 thousand Karyakrtas from rural Gujarat are attending the shibir.

On the first day, an exhibition on the life of late Shri Keshavlal Kashiram Shashtri was inaugurated. P.P. Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohanji Bhagwat and Sangh Sarkaryavah Bhaiyaji Joshi will remain present in this shibir for all three days.

Path Sanchalan – (a march past) of Swayam Sevaks – will be held on the 2nd and 3rd day of Shibir. Prominent women’s convention, professors’ convention and Sant conventions are other major events during the shibir.

After a gap of 15 years, the RSS is organising a Karyakarta Shibir in Gujarat on a big scale.

In a press conference held in this regard today, Dr. Jayantibhai Bhadesia, Prant Sanghchalak, said that total 25,800 RSS karyakarta have registered for the event so far. He added that more than 28,000 karyakartas will attend the shibir from rural areas.

He said the shibir area will be 170 acre in size. The entire shibir complex has been named after Shri Lakshmanrao Inamdar(Vakil Saheb).

Dr. Jayantibhai further said that the shibir arrangements are divided in 25 sections that include meal, water, snack food, cleanliness, and security etc. 1,150 tents will form 10 towns. There will be one kitchen per two towns. There will be 250 security managers and CCTV network installed. RO system will be installed for availability of pure drinking water. A hall for intellectual addresses, a conference hall and one central hall are also set up in shibir complex. Various intellectual and physical sessions will take place in shibir during 4.30 am to 10.00 pm.

Folk singer Bhikhudan Gadhvi will inaugurate Pujya Ke.Ka.Shastri exhibition. It will showcase our tradition of knowledge, Bharatiya  culture’s global foray, Bharat’s era of struggle, Sangh darshan, global warming and its solution, equality, environment, cow, Sankalp-shibir-2000 etc.

On 3 January there will be 4 vishal path sanchalan(march past) with 1,000 drum and other instruments played by Swayamsevaks. Prominent women’s convention, professor’s convention, sant conventions are other events during the shibir.

On 4 January, at 4.00 pm shibir will conclude in presence of Swami Sadanand Saraswatiji Maharaj of Sharda pith Dwarka and Sarsanghchalak Shri Mohanji Bhagwat.

Shri Mohanji Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi will remain present in this shibir for full-time.

फिल्म पीके का विरोध

कटक : फिल्म पीके को लेकर देश के विभिन्न शहरों में विरोध प्रदर्शन किया जा रहा है। इसे लेकर कटक में भी प्रदर्शन किया गया। फिल्म के प्रदर्शन का विरोध कर वृंदावन सिनेमा और अन्य सिनेमा हालों में विश्व हिंदू परिषद और बजरंग दल के कार्यकर्ताओं ने थिएटरों मे घुसकर पीके का पोस्टर फाड़ डाला। इसके बाद पोस्टरों को आग के हवाले कर दिया। बजरंग दल ने शिकायत की है कि फिल्म के जरिए धार्मिक भावनाओं को ठेस पहुचाई गई है। हिंदू धर्म को बदानम करने का यह षडयंत्र रचा गया है, जिसका नमूना हिंदी फिल्म पीके में देखने को मिला है। कार्यकर्ताओं ने फिल्म का तीव्र विरोध किया है।

ओडिशा कृषि व ग्रामीण मजदूर संघ का वार्षिकोत्सव मना

कटक : भारतीय मजदूर संघ की ओर से संचालित ओडिशा कृषि एवं ग्रामीण मजदूर संघ का वार्षिकोत्सव श्रीरामचंद्र भवन में मनाया गया। संघ के अध्यक्ष पृथ्वीराज पंडा की अध्यक्षता आयोजित समारोह का उद्घाटन निर्माण कल्याण बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष सुभाष सिंह ने किया।

इस दौरान उन्होंने कहा कि पंजीकृत मजदूरों के लिए सरकार की ओर से विभिन्न योजनाएं बनाई गई हैं। निर्माण मजदूरों के कार्य के दौरान दुर्घटना या मृत्यु हो जाने पर उन्हें इलाज के खर्च के साथ मोटी रकम बतौर मुआवजा मिलेगी। निर्माण मजदूरों के लिए पेंशन व्यवस्था भी लागू होगी। भारतीय मजदूर संघ के अखिल भारतीय गोकुलानंद जेना एवं सचिव प्रमोदिनी दास ने संघ की विभिन्न समस्याओं पर चर्चा की। अतिथियों का स्वागत करते हुए ओडिशा शाखा के सचिव बसंत साहू ने कहा कि मजदूरों की मागों के लिए भारतीय मजदूर संघ हमेशा लड़ाई करता आया है। आने वाले दिनों में भी यह जारी रहेगा। अंत में सुमीता महापात्र ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया।

Late Eknath Ranade is role model for entire country: Mohanji Bhagwat

Nagpur. “Late Eknath Ranade with sheer dint of his industriousness, determination, courage, intellect, strength and all inclusive attitude became the best role model for the countrymen to emulate and follow”, said Param Pujya Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohanrao Bhagwat.

The RSS Chief was delivering Eknath Ranade Birth Centenary Memorial lecture organised by New English High School Association at Nagpur on December 30 on the topic “Late Eknathji Ranade – Man and Mission”. RSS Sarkaryawah Suresh (Bhayyaji) Joshi, Association President Dr. A W Vyavahare and Vivekananda Kendra Regional Coordinatior Vishwas Lapalkar shared the dais.

Late Eknath Ranade, who was a student of New English High School, was the founder of Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Kanyakumari and Vivekananda Kendra. The lecture was thus organised by the New Enghish High School Association as a tribute to this past student.

Dr. Bhagwat said that these qualities in late Eknath Ranade’s personality were further sharpened and honed properly under the guidance of RSS founder Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar and his immediate successor late M S Golwalkar (Sri Guruji). Emulating his example and following them in our life would be the best tribute to him, the RSS Chief said.

Sharing his views with the large audience that gathered at the open ground of New English High School in Congress Nagar while Nagpur shivered under the impat of 5 degree celcius temperature on the penultimate day of the year that just passed, Dr. Bhagwat narrated a number of incidents from the life of late Ranade. Through such experiences he learnt his lessons for life and drew inspiration to build his personality and positive attitude and thinking, he said.

These qualities imbibed by him were put at test during the completion of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial at Kanyakumari and later when he started the order of Life Workers of Vivekananda Kendra, the RSS Chief explained.

Unfolding the history of Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the efforts the late Eknath Ranade took to accomplish this very difficult task, the RSS Chief said that Eknath Ranade managed to convince leaders of all the political parties including the then Union Minister Humayun Kabir and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Bhaktvatsalam who had shown strong opposition to such a memorial of Swami Vivekananda in the southern sea.

Ameliorating the condition of the people standing at the end of the social ladder was the core of thoughts and actions of Swami Vivekananda and Ekanth Ranade. This same thought is practiced by RSS on a wider canvass, he said.

Ekanth Ranade conceived, and planned construction of rock memorial and completed it with full determination. The initiation of the Life Worker Order to propagate the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda was the next logical step of his mission and today we find hundreds of such dedicated youth working in the remote areas of the country serving the poor, the neglected and the downtrodden taking them to be their Gods.

Dr. Bhagwat dwelt at length on various aspects of Eknath Ranade’s life as a student at Hislop College, as a Swayamsevak, as a Pracarak and as a Sarkarywah of RSS till he was entrusted with the responsibility of Rock Memorial in 1962 to highlight the best of his qualities and principles of life.

Strong resolve, working with dedication and determination accompanied with hard work, bravery, and systematic bent of mind he was able to translate his dreams in reality. Having full faith in serving those who are in need, helping them to become self-reliant, grooming them to serve others and dominate the society with such dedicated persons was the dream Ekanth Ranade cherished in his heart and worked relentlessly for its realization.

We all have a responsibility to understand his thoughts and work with the same zeal. This is the best way to pay tributes to this great soul, Dr. Bhagwat said.

Earlier Dr. Vyavahare introduced the guests and honoured them with bouquet and replica of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial. The proceedings were compared by Rucha Ansighkar while Assistant HM Mrs. Aarti Khandekar proposed vote of thanks. Prior to his lecture Dr. Bahgwat released five volumes of thoughts of Eknath Ranade published by Vivekananda Kendra. Pankaj Shelare, a student of the school, delivered the short lecture on Swami Vivekananda.

Unfortunate that Ambedkar’s theories, thesis not given prominence, says RSS

New Delhi. RSS ruled that despite being a prominent economist, BR Ambedkar’s theories and thesis are not given much prominence and it is “unfortunate” that research is not done over them by universities in the country on Dec. 30.

Terming Ambedkar as a “great” labour leader, Sah sarkaryavah of RSS Dr. Krishna Gopal said that many of the rules in various labour laws apart from the concept of tripartite talks were brought by him which is prevalent even today.

“He was a prominent economist but it is unfortunate that none of the universities in the country do any good research on him… not even on his economic theories,” Krishna Gopalji said while delivering sixth memorial lecture on “Dr Ambedkar: Multidimentional Personality and Narrative at Indian Institute of Public Administration.”

Krishna Gopalji claimed that despite graduating in economics from prestigious Columbia University and London School of Economics and releasing important papers on ‘Small holdings in India and their remedies’, Ambedkar’s researches and papers were not even properly published.

“Small holdings in India and their remedies was a big paper of Ambedkar…how agriculture land is getting smaller. Economic Development of this country is not possible through small holdings…He said this 100 years ago. He urged for industrialisation at the earliest as there is much pressure on agriculture. “Even after 100 years, the research on his theories and thesis that should have happened, its possibility, it seems is bleak,” he said.

Noting that Ambedkar had three ‘gurus’ in his life – Buddha, Kabir and Mahatma Phule, Krishna Gopalji said that without understanding the three of them, understanding Ambedkar would be incomplete.

The Sarkaryavah (Joint Gen. Sec.) said that the Communists had labeled him as “enemy of labourers” but Ambedkar had spoken very strongly about them and had said during one of the speeches that they were a “misguided body of men”.

“Now the communist put a picture of Ambedkar and say that he was leading light of class struggle, how can we believe this? He was labour minister before Independence for five years. The big labour unions today…they too know little about this,” Krishna Gopalji said.

He said that Ambedkar was the first person to have brought many crucial labour laws in the country including Minimum Wages Factories Act, Providend Fund, subsidised food, medical aid to factory workers and maternity leave for women.

On the issue of Article 370, he  said that Ambedkar, who was then law minister, was opposed to the idea of giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir and he had told Shiekh Abdullah that it would be a “treacherous” thing to allow something like this to happen.

“When China attacked Bharat, Ambedkar had questioned the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his actions. He had said that Nehru is living in the world of dreams and China has come to our door and we cannot protect ourselves. He had a certain view on the foreign policy,” Krishna Gopalji said.

He said that Ambedkar was opposed to dividing states on the basis of language. Ambedkar had said that states should be formed on the basis of administration while also advocated for Hindi as the national language.
