Thiruvananthapuram: A five-year-old boy, who was allegedly brutally beaten up and tortured by his father and stepmother in Kerala's Kottayam, is critical and is on ventilator support. The Kerala government has taken custody of the child and arrested the father and the stepmother.
A case of attempt to murder has been registered against them. The couple, who brought the child to the hospital in a serious condition, had initially said the injuries were caused after he fell while taking a bath.
