ORIYA LAWYER LEADER IN DELHI APPOINTED AS THE PRESIDENT / CONVENER OF BJP LEGAL CELL

The senior and veteran lawyer leader from the state of Orissa Mr. Prasanta Varma is appointed as the President / Convenor of BJP Legal Cell, Delhi High Court on 20-12-2010 under the leadership of Mr. Vijender Gupta, President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Delhi Pradesh and Mr. Anil Soni, President / Convener, Legal Cell, Bharatiya Janata Party.

In a meeting organized by the BJP Legal Cell in the Delhi High Court, hundreds of lawyers attended the meeting and congratulated the newly appointed President / Convener of the Legal Cell. While addressing the lawyers Mr. Prasanta Varma, Convener stressed upon, organizing seminars / symposiums by the young talented lawyers which would actually boost the career of the young lawyers joining Bar.

During the meeting Mr. Prasanta Varma, Convener also declared the executive body of the Legal Cell in consultation with Mr. Anil Soni, Convener.

Mr. G.L.Bhatia, Mr. Arun Beriwal and Ms. Ranjita Patnaik were declared as the Co-Conveners when Mr. Ashok Nagrath, Mr. Sisir Singh, Mr. Rajesh Chauhan, Mr. P.N.Bhan, Ms. Alaka Nayak, Mr. Jai Govind Singh, Mr. Sunil Sharma, Ms. Manisha Agarwal, Mr. Pabitra Biswal decalred as the Executive Body Members.

It is worth while to mention that Mr. Prasanta Varma is a senior lawyer from the state of Orissa and is practicing in the Supreme Court and Delhi High Court for last more than seventeen years and is also associated with the Adhivakta Parishad for over a decade.

Lawyers from the state of Orissa even though are actively participating in the Court politics in Delhi particularly in the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court these days but till date no one has attained such political party position like Mr. Prasanta Varma. On this occasion the Lawyers from the state of Orissa practicing in Delhi congratulated Mr. Varma for such elevation. Even Mr. Varma has the team comprising of three Oriya lawyers in the executive body which has literally brought a excitement amongst the lawyers in Delhi from the State of Orissa.
