| BALESWAR-An industrial exhibition organised here to showcase the potential and possibilities of the district has been a big draw here. In the mega event Government as well as private firms participated to highlight their achievements through stalls. A Defence pavilion, particularly the missile park, was the centre of attraction. Two prominent units of Chandipur based DRDO, ITR and PXE put up their stalls to showcase defence powers and technologies. Most of the young mass while enjoyed the defence pavilion, they expressed their eagerness to learn about development made by India in the field of defence, mainly in the missile technology. They also sought to have photograph of the missiles and armaments.
Smita , a college student, said, “We are getting a great deal of pleasure in roaming in the expo, especially after visiting the missile enclosure and taking photograph here.” Avay Das, another young visitor, complemented, “I feel fortunate to see the dummy missiles and learn about them in the display board and from video footage.” A demonstrator of defence block said, “We want to develop knowledge among the commoners and generate interest among the youths.” Each evening was laced with cultural extravaganza. A total of 526 stalls belonging to various sectors were erected. The expo would culminate on Sunday.
