JAJPUR ROAD
Civil society members on Tuesday morning held a three-hour long protest dharna in front of the Gopabandhu statue at Jajpur Road in support of Anna Hazare in his fight against corruption.
People from various walks of life chanted slogans like- “Go ahead Anna, we are with you in your fight against corruption.” The agitators supported the Jan Lokpal Bill drafted by the Anna Hazare team and demanded the Government introduce it in the Parliament instead of the Government Bill that has already been introduced in the Parliament.
Those who joined the dharna included advocate Madan Mohan Swain, former principal of VN College Padnav Malla, advocate Bibekananda Mohanty, social activit Bijaya Panda, Dr Hemanta Sahoo, journalist KC Samal.
