VADODARA, January 21, 2013 : On January 12, it was Vivekanandmay Vadodara! With record 339 floats and participation of 12926 male and 4828 female, 7 km long Shobhayatra was witnessed by more than 3 lacs citizen of Vadodara, Gujarat.
Prominent religious prists from Swaminarayan, Gayatri, Brhmakumaries, Jalaram Temple, ISCKON and Vaishnavacharyas have graced the ocassion,
Many schools, Faculties of Maharaja Sayajirao University, Organizations of Specially abled children, Vyayam Mandirs and Akhadas whole heartedly participated in the Shobhayatra. District Collecter, Hon Mayor and senior officials of Govt and Municipal Corporation remained on the dias.
Service Organizations like INDU Blood Bank, Fire Brigade, NGOs took part with " SEVA" as motto of the Floats. Eminent artists like Kamlesh Patel(Zee DID fame), Bhoomi Trevedi(Indian IDOL fame) were there to motivate the participants,
It was a musical bonanza supported by Police Band, Zenith School Band, 15 Nasik bands and not less than 8 DJs performing Desbhakti Songs all the way,
Floats were very creative and had variety of subjects like live demonstrations of Chikago Dharma Parishad, Bhagini Nivedita School etc, 150 students from Urmi school were dreseed as Swamiji and marched on route,
The lead vehicle had 7 ft x 8 ft Pratima of Swamiji and people performed Arti and Pooja on the route.
