Hindu Rashtra Sena demonstrates for demand to treat Sanjay Dutt like any ordinary prisoner

Demonstrations staged for demand to treat Sanjay Dutt like any ordinary prisoner : 300 activists of Hindu Rashtra Sena arrested along with Dhananjay Desai !

Mumbai : Sanjay Dutt is an offender and he should be arrested by police from his home; he should be treated like any other prisoner, were the main demands of Hindu Rashtra Sena for which its 300 activists led by its founder President Shri. Dhananjay Desai staged demonstrations in front of Sanjay Dutt’s bungalow at Pali Hill. Police later arrested Shri. Desai and his 300 activists filing cases against them.

1. The Supreme Court has sentenced actor Sanjay Dutt for the offence of possessing a rifle illegally during the bomb blasts of 1993. His plea for re-considering his sentence has also been dismissed and no extension of time has been granted to him for surrendering.

2. As per the directions of the Court, he will have to surrender on Thursday; but Sanjay Dutt has been making many demands like he would surrender in the Court; he should be kept in certain jail etc.  under TADA in Sessions Court.

3. Sanjay Dutt has, thus started trying for getting various concessions in his punishment.

4. 300 activists of Hindu Rashtra Sena, therefore, all of a sudden, held demonstrations in front of Sanjay Dutt’s bungalow at Pali Hill under the guidance of their Founder President Shri. Dhananjay Desai.

5. The activists started gathering in front of Sanjay Dutt’s bungalow around 3.30 p.m. raising slogans. Within an hour, however, police started arresting them.

6. The activists were enraged when Shri. Dhananjay Desai was arrested and they stopped police vehicle; but Shri. Desai intervened appealing them to maintain peace only then they calmed down.

7. Later, police filed cases against Shri. Dhananjay Desai and all activists.

While the demonstrations were going on, Sanjay Dutt, his wife and his sister, MP Priya Dutt were present in the bungalow. Actor Ajay Devgan had come to meet Sanjay Dutt but he returned without meeting Dutt on seeing the demonstrators.
