Students support ABVP's anti-corruption drive; ABVP bags 3 posts in DUSU Elections


Today ABVP swept DUSU elections by winning three posts out of four ABVP’s victory is a clear indication of students support to its ongoing continuous movement against corruption. ABVP extends congratulations to whole student community, and firmly declare that it will intensify fight against corruption. ABVP appeals to all, to be ready for decisive fight to make corruption free

NSUI made this election as their prestige issue and put their top leaders and efforts in it. But as last year ABVP succeeded in retaining its 3 posts. On the only post which is won by NSUI Ajay Chikara defeated Neha Singhh by 2362 votes. He got 11164 votes while Neha Singh of ABVP got 8802 votes.

On the Vice President seat Vikas Choudhary won by the margin of 3780 votes. Vikas got 11855 votes while his opponent NSUI candidate Bhupender Choudhary got 8075 votes. Vikas Yadav won Secretary post by 2291 votes against NSUI’s Parag Sharma. Vikas got 8365 votes while Parag Sharma got 6074 vote. Joint Secretary seat won by ABVP candidate Deepak Bansal. He defeated NSUI’s Ashish Choudhary by 2105 votes. Deepak got 8404 votes while Ashish got 6299 votes. This remarkable win ABVP National President Prof. Milind Marathe congratulated all the candidates as well as the team of Delhi state. He told that ABVP’s resolve against corruption has brought us this win. In this context it becomes our duty to intensify our ongoing agitation against corruption.

Congratulating winning candidates ABVP General Secretary Shri Umesh Dutt told that this clearly indicates outrage of students against corruption. ABVP is continuously striving on educational as well as issues of student welfare. Through DUSU we will fight for betterment of educational scenario in
the clean sweep by ABVP in DU elections Delhi State Secretary Rohit Chahal told that this win is very important for us as in spite of attraction of glamour & money by NSUI, by supporting ABVP students have given mandate against corruption.
