Multi-faceted Personality: Ex RSS Sar Sanghchalak Shri Sudarshanji!
VHP Tribute to Shri Sudarshan ji
New Delhi, September 15, 2012
A heart-breaking news of the sad demise of Sangh Ex Sar Sanghchalak Maa. Shri Sudarshan ji has got all associated with him mourn silently.
Speaking of Maa. Shri Sudarshan ji with heart-felt sorrow, VHP International Working President Dr Pravin Togadia said, “Born in a small village Kuppahalli in Karnataka, Maa Shri Sudarshan ji went on to obtain higher academic professional height as a Telecom Engineer. He gave his life to Sangh, Bharat, character / Nation building. From Swayamsevak to Pracharak & then on to the Sarsanghchalak post, Shri Sudarshan ji left his mark in whatever he did. He was a unique blend of the modern & ancient! He was so much interested in newer communications technologies to bring about transformation in the way masses communicate. He also was interested, the same time, in Astrology & Aayurveda as science! He would read a lot & was fluent in many languages which helped him relate to people well. As a Sarsanghchalak of RSS from 2000 to 2009, he had to face a lot of tough challenges from Gujarat issue to 2004 Loksabha elections debacle of the party that was built with blood & sweat of the Swayamsevaks for years. There were strange terror allegations as well on Sangh & there was also a general apathy setting in among the people in Bharat about national/ social interests due to rat race of livelihood. Maa Shri Sudarshan ji tried to cope with challenges with his agile mind, scientific but humane thinking & great sense of humour. He gave the mantle in the able hands & retired from a particular post but even at the age of 81 & with chronic illnesses, he still was very active & involved in social well-being. But time has its own speed. Now Maa Shri Sudarshan ji is no more with us. Our heart goes out to his brother & sister & also to lakhs of Swayamsevaks who were his ‘pariwaar’! He was keenly interested in Hindu Dharma & its manifestations. We salute his noble deeds & pray for his peaceful Moksha.”
