Thane (Maharashtra) : Following the incident of rape of a woman photo-journalist in Mumbai, today, an incident of a minor girl (aged 12 years) raped by her 39 years old neighbour 'Alam Shaikh' has come to light. A case has been filed with Rabodi police station and Alam Shaikh has been arrested. This 12 year-old girl was alone in her house on 5th August when Alam went to her house and while threatening, raped her. The girl was quiet after the incident. Finally on 2nd September, she told her mother about the incident and her mother lodged a complaint with Rabodi police station leading to arrest of Alam Sheikh.
