Policies of Pakisthan are A Threat To Indian Sovereignty-Bhagbat

http://www.orissadiary.com/CurrentNews.asp?id=39701

Report by Golakha Chandra Das, Bhubaneswar: The Pak military personnel are involved in cross border terrorism. Some terrorists along with Pak soldiers are always trying to enter into Indian territory to destabilize peace and security in our country. This has been stated by Sarasanghachalak(RSS Chief) Dr.Mohan Rao Bhagavat.

To-day RSS,Bhubaneswar unit has organized ‘Uttisthat Jagrat’ Programme in the local Durgapuja ground at Baramunda. Dr.Bhagavat addressed the occasion as chief guest and told that while the whole country was in the darkness due to one thousand years of foreign misrule, Swami Vivekananda gave the call to the nation ‘stand and awake’. Sangha is only trying to convert this message of Swamiji into a reality.

To-day we are facing a number of problems, as our society is not awakend. Instead of confronting the problems, we are going away from these in search of easy alternatives. By allowing foreign direct investment, we are further aggravating the unemployment problem of our country. Although the remark of Pak foreign minister against India was condemned by our government it was not that hard which was expected to be.

The Pak soldiers along with terrorists entered into our territory and beheaded one of our soldiers and took away the slaughtered head to show their act of brutality. But our protest was a very mild one comparing to such a heinous crime. Our country  is so big and powerful that, by simply showing an angry eye, we can terrify Pakisthan. But for this purpose, we should be firm and united. While Pakisthan is openly challenging us, China’s opposition is a hidden one. China is following this practice from the very beginning.

Now even China-made goods are trying to capture our commodity market. Again China is trying to redirect the flow of our river water, which is very much against our national interest. Our border is insecured because the problem of foreign infiltration is mounting day by day. In this hour of crisis, instead of fighting among each other, we should be united, so that, we can successfully confront all these problems.

The programme started after ceremonial sarasanghachalak pranam and hoisting of saffron flag. One thousand Swayamsevaks of Bhubaneswar with full uniform participated in the demonstration of Suryanamaskar,Yogasan,Dandabyayam, Patakabyayam and Ghosh. The programme started after an impressive patriotic song delivered by a Swayamsevak.

Others who shared the dias are Khetrasanghachalak of Odisha,Bengal,Sikkim and Andaman Nicobar Sri Ranendra Lal Bandopadhyay,Pranta Sanghachalak of Odisha Sri Bipin Bihari Nanda and Mahanagar Sanghachalak Sri Baikuntha Nath Sahoo.Mahanagar Saririk Pramukh Sri Pratap Dwivedi conducted the programme of physical demonsration and Mahanagar Boudhik Pramukh Sri Devi Prasad Mohapatra had introduced the guests and offered thanks  to those who had lent their cooperation in this occasion. Sri Mohapatra also coordinated the entire programme.

Param Pujaniya Sarasanghachalak has come in a routine tour to Odisha to create national awareness among Swayamsevaks in the present day context. He reached at Bhubaneswar on a four day visit on 21st February and attended several meetings. On 21st February he addressed an intellectual meet at Rotary Bhavan, Bhubaneswar and on 22nd February at Kalabikash Kendra of Cuttack he  addressed another intellectual rally. Besides that he attended a two day meeting of RSS state Karyakartas in the UBSS seminar hall at Bhubaneswar on 23rd & 24th February.

Pakistan, China harming India's interest: RSS

Published: Sunday, Feb 24, 2013, 22:32 IST
Place: Bhubaneswar | Agency: PTI
RSS on Sunday said that while Pakistan was abetting cross-border terrorism to harm India, China was seeking to ruin the country's economy by flooding the markets with cheap products.
"While Pakistan adopted anti-India policies and openly challenged country's sovereignty, China worked cunningly by launching an economic warfare in the subcontinent," RSS chief Mohan Rao Bhagwat said.
"Pakistan Army brings terrorists to the border and they (terrorists) cut heads of Indian soldiers. Pakistan's policies were open challenge to Indian sovereignty," Bhagwat said referring to recent tension on LOC.
While Pakistan had all along been adopting anti-India policies, the international community suggested India to maintain restraint (Sayam) whenever some thing wrong took place, he alleged.
"Why do not you (international community) ask Pakistan to stop pursuing anti-India policies," Bhagwat asked adding that Foreign Minister of Pakistan speak on subjects which she should not during her visit to India and other countries.
Bhagwat was speaking at a public meeting while winding up his four-day visit to Odisha today.
India only shouts and does not act to stop such heinous (beheading of soldiers) activities of Pakistan, Bhagwat alleged saying that the people of India have reasons to be worried over the security of the nation.
He said India was countering two types of enemies, one which is visible and another that remained unseen.
Referring to China as an "enemy invisible", the RSS chief said, "This country has been making preparation to downgrade India internationally. China had already completed encirclement by influencing neighbouring countries only to damage might of India.
"China was also all set to destroy India's economy by pushing cheap products to our country, Bhagwat said, adding that even that country tried to divert India's water to their benefit."
Raising questions over India's preparedness to counter China's designs, the RSS chief said that China needs to be checked.
Bhagwat said that national security of India was a matter of great concern, and alleged that country's internationalM borders, both in land and water, was not fullproof therefore smuggling of arms, narcotic drugs and others were possible.
There was a large influx of infiltrators to the country while neither the Government of India nor state governments have any mechanism to drive them out, he alleged.
"Even there is no effort to identify them (infiltrators)," he said.
The RSS Sarasanghachalak accused political leadership of indulging in the politics of personal interest rather than working for the national interest and said society should have complete control over such politicians.
Speaking on FDI he said, "Allowing FDI in retail sector will only add to the unemployment problem of the country."
Asking Swayam Sevaks to be fearless, the RSS Chief quoted Swami Vivekananda's message of developing the courage to face problems instead of sulking and leaving it on the fate.

China, Pakistan major threats to India: Mohan Bhagwat

BHUBANESWAR: Both China and Pakistan continue to remain major threats to India,Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) sarasanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat said here on Sunday.

Addressing a public gathering at Baramunda, Bhagwat said while Pakistan's challenge is open, China's anti-India pursuit is more strategic and hidden. "Pakistan has made several attempts to rattle Indian security forces though it is very weak compared to India. However, every time India was advised to restrain itself," Bhagwat said. The RSS chief was on a four-day Odisha visit, which ended on Sunday.

On the recent beheading of an Indian jawan by Pakistani soldiers along the Line of Control ( LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, the RSS chief said, "They cut our man's head, but we did nothing." Distinguishing China's aggression strategy from that of Pakistan, Bhagwat said China always talks of friendship but silently pursues its mission against India. "They have shown their sample in 1962. We should be alert," he said.

China wants to become a superpower. To achieve that goal and establish its own supremacy, it is suppressing India. It is trying to complete its 'encirclement' (isolate Indian forces), the RSS chief said sounding caution on the part of India.

Bhagwat said to weaken India's economy, China has been exporting commodities at very cheap prices. "But our counter-strategy is not very effective." he said.

Insecurity growing among people: RSS chief

25th February 2013 11:46 AM
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Rao Bhagwat on Sunday expressed concern over lax  security on the border and the lack of preparedness on the part of the Government to check infiltrators.
National security is a matter of concern. The North-East is particularly vulnerable due to large-scale  infiltration from across the border. The country’s preparedness to check infiltration is not visible, the RSS chief said while addressing a public meeting here on the last day of his four-day visit to the State.
Disturbing elements are sneaking in through the porous borders and threatening the security and integrity of the country. The Government has failed to identify these elements and the political leadership has no will to counter it.
Bhagwat said the  country is facing threat from two types of enemies __ the one like Pakistan is openly challenging while the second is hidden, possibly hinting at China.
Taking a dig at those countries advising India to maintain restraint when Pakistan is openly challenging the country’s sovereignty, the RSS chief said rather they should advise the neighbouring country not to poke its nose into the internal affairs of other countries. He was referring to the unsolicited comments of the Pakistan Foreign Affairs Minister on certain domestic issues of India.
Stating that the maximum threat perception of the country is from China, Bhagwat said, ‘’We should be more careful about China even if it is talking in a friendly manner.’’ China is all set to capture Indian economy by pushing its products into the market in a big way. He blamed the poor political leadership for the insecurity of the people, growing unemployment and rising prices. The political leadership is not concerned for the common people. The society has no control over the politicians, he remarked.
Criticising the economic policy of the Centre, the RSS chief said the foreign direct investment (FDI) in many sectors has contributed significantly to the rising unemployment and poverty. Many people have developed a negative attitude that nothing better will happen in this country. Nothing is impossible if the people stand united and face the situation fearlessly.
Bhagwat’s visit to the State was a part of his national awareness programme among RSS cadres. He attended a two-day meeting of RSS functionaries, which  concluded on Sunday.

Appearing in no mood to forgive Shinde for his terror remark and subsequent regret, Bhagwat while answering a query from a public during a question-answer session, said, "His (Shinde's) remarks as well as regret are nonsense (bakwas)".

He said the Sangh Parivar never believed in violence and if the ministry of Home Affairs has any prima facie proof of they being remotely connected to any form of violence, then instead of voicing the same in public, the minister should take appropriate legal action on it.

Shinde's 'regret' not enough: RSS

BHUBANESWAR: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Thursday said Swayamsevaks were not happy with home minister Sushilkumar Shinde expressing regret on his Hindu terror remark. The BJP has already accepted the home minister's retraction.
"Many Swayamsevaks and people in general feel the home minister's statement should have been clearer," Bhagwat said while replying to a query on Shinde's retraction from his 'Hindu terror' comment, during an interaction with civil society members here. Hyderabad twin blasts unfortunate: RSS chief

CUTTACK: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ( RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Friday expressed sorrow over the Hyderabad blasts which left 16 people dead and scores injured.
"The incident is very unfortunate. Serial blasts are taking place in the country but the union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde is not worried about it, instead he is busy making statements on 'Hindu terror' groups," said Bhagwat.

He said Shinde's remark is completely absurd and has no truth in it. His statement is political-motivated to woo a specific section of voters for the 2014 general elections.
Addressing a public meeting at Kala Vikash Kendra here, Bhagwat said the term 'Hindu terror' is being used to appease a section of people. "The statement is part of a well-orchestrated strategy to consolidate votes of a specific section in favour of the Congress. They will keep playing the card till 2014 elections," said Bhagwat. He further said the Sangh Parivar does not believe in violence and if the union government has any concrete information about the Sangh's involvement in terror attacks then instead of making allegations in public it should take legal action against it.

Indian Christians adopt Hindu ways to find a soulmate

$img_titleBhopal, February 1: Kiran Bhabor has good jobs as a hostel warden and nursing college teacher. But the 33-year-old doesn't have a husband. For over a decade, she has looked unsuccessfully for a suitable partner. Even the efforts of her Bhil tribal family have failed to turn up any candidates. But Bhabor has hopes that her luck might soon improve.
She says her search has failed because most of the men in her community in Madhya Pradesh state are economically and educationally “backward," making it a difficult prospect for educated women like her to find an appropriate groom.
In India, finding life partners is a social and family responsibility; more so among the country’s tribal communities because it ensures that young people do not stray outside their tribal and faith communities for the sake of a spouse.
A “suitable match” traditionally means meeting the parameters of caste, sub-caste, age, education and religion. In recent times, employment has also become a significant factor.
Bhabor's options are even narrower. As a Christian Bhil tribal, she must find a Christian Bhil man with her level of education who is older than her – not an easy thing in such a small minority of the population.
In contrast, finding a mate is easier among Hindus, as their communities regularly conduct parichay sammelan - introdution meetings - where women and men who want to get married come, along with their families, to meet prospective partners.
Taking a cue from such meetings, Catholics in Indore diocese in central India have begun to organize their own introduction meetings along the same lines.
Bhabor and her father were among the 152 multi-denominational participants – 86 girls and 66 boys, along with their families – of the first such meeting in late January. There she found one prospective match, and her family is now working to finalize a marriage agreement.
Abhilesh Kochele, who also joined the meeting, said the selection process was easy for him because prospective brides and grooms speak openly to the group about the qualities they expect in a life partner.
Dasil Thomas, 64, came to the event in search of matches for his son and daughter. “I have zeroed in on three matches each for them, and am hopeful of finalizing their marriages shortly,” he said.
The process has the added benefit of being trustworthy and reliable because of the involvement of the Church, said Sheffi Saldanha, 22, a prospective bride.
Father Joby Anand, director of the diocesan Youth Commission and organizer of the introduction meeting, said the initial results were good and the meetings will continue regularly. He said in recent years educated women have given up the prospect of marriage because of a lack of educated men, or have begun seeking parnters outside their communities.
Educational institutions run by the Church have provided better opportunities for tribal families to educate their children – an advantage that others in the community don’t have. “Since the Christian community is small and scattered, the meetings help bring women and men together and know each other,” Fr Anand said, noting that Christians comprise less than one percent of the population in Madhya Pradesh.
This month’s event also included youths from Maharashtra, Chhattisgarth, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan states – all with similarly small Christian communities made up mostly of migrants from the south or tribal and lower caste converts.
Young Christians marrying outside their faith has become a great concern for the Church, according to Bishop Chacko Thottumarickal of Indore, who sees the meetings as a good tool to remedy the problem.
“We want our youths to marry within our faith," he said. "The meetings will not only help them find a suitable match, but also make them stay in the community.”

$img_titleMumbai, Feb 1, 2013 : Alleging that the UPA has survived on the strength of CBI's lack of integrity, Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley  said, a parliamentary panel has made recommendations which will liberate CBI partly from the clutches of the government.
"The government at the Centre has survived on the strength of CBI's lack of integrity," Jaitley said while delivering a lecture on 'Challenges India needs to overcome' at the K C College here.
"Every time during the vote in Parliament, I find on the eve of the vote, the CBI altering its stand in affidavits and the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party changing their stand in Parliament," he said. "The Parliamentary Select Committee has made a recommendation which will liberate CBI partly from the clutches of the government," the senior BJP leader said.
The key battle on Lokpal is how to liberate the CBI from the clutches of the government, he added. On the recent India-Pakistan tension at the Line of Control (LoC) where two Indian soldiers were killed, he said, "Engagement per se will not solve the problem."
Calling Pakistan a "rogue" state, which is highly radicalised, Jaitley said it is represented by the Army, the ISI, the civilian government and the terrorists. Touching upon the issue of Maoism, he said, "We need to seriously introspect how to deal with them (ultras)."
He said in order to develop the areas occupied by the Maoists, there should be a combination of developmental and police programme. "One without the other would be completely meaningless," he said.
Talking on the economic front, Jaitley stressed that the country needs to focus on achieving 9 per cent growth. "India needs to look at achieving 9 per cent growth rate in next decade," he said while stressing on quality governance in the country. PTI
