Sarsanghachalak in Bhubaneswar

Sarsanghachalak in Bhubaneswar

”World is a family, not a market. Work for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”-Mohan Bhagwat

Bhubaneswar,(visakeo)-JANUARY 26 brought a lot of joy for them. They did not care for the repeated threats from red terrorists not to step out of their homes. The capital city-Bhubaneswar-was in a celebration mood, all were eager to welcome their new Sarsanghachalak on the occasion of his first visit to the state after taking the reins of Sangh work in his able hands. Yes, they were the swayamsevaks and well-wishers of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) who had gathered in the heart of the state capital to welcome Shri Mohan Bhagwat with love and veneration. Around 5,000 swayamsevaks attired in poorna ganavesh performed different physical exercises. Heroic ghosh played by them spell-bounded everyone.
”The root-cause of all the woes in the world is the unexpected and irrelevant change in our thoughts, actions and beliefs. Two hundred years ago, we, the Bharatiyas, were different and unique from others in our thoughts. We innovated and preached a gospel, i.e. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the entire universe is one family). But in the present days, the consumerism culture of the western nations seems to have prevailed on us. Due to this, the world is no more a family for us, rather it has become a market, where price and purchasing power rule. Humanistic and divine values have been given up and our centuries-old enriched culture is at peril. Gradual decrease in the Hindu population and Hindu philosophy of life is a serious threat to our national integration and sovereignty. It has become an ugly trend to leave everything to be done by the administration, as a result the strong sense of responsibility towards the motherland is rapidly evaporating from the heart and mind of our countrymen. The solution lies in awakening the power of the people (jan shakti) to unite them for the cause of the nation and for the interest of the society. So, let’s join the Sangh; don’t remain just a mere well-wisher. The Sangh can only and truly be understood by attending its shakhas. Let’s work for the country and the world,” said Shri Mohan Bhagwat, while addressing a huge gathering of swayamsevaks.
”The Sangh is not a paramilitary organisation, nor a political party. The Sangh does not do anything for itself; it solely endeavours for the all-round development of the nation. The founder of the Sangh, Dr KB Hedgewar had learnt it very well, while working in different spheres, that the nation could be made powerful only through unity among its people. And to achieve that goal, he started the Sangh in 1925. The Sangh has been a unique organisation the world has ever seen. Hence, it is quite impossible to explain and realise what the Sangh is. How the Sangh is. And how it works. Without taking part in its direct and daily programmes, i.e. shakhas, one cannot understand the Sangh properly. We have to rescue the society from the clutches of adharma; this is our work. Our culture believes in satya, dharma and ahimsa. Are we united in the true sense of the term? Pakistan is a serious threat to our nation, so is America. We do not need the mediation of America on Kashmir issue. Pakistan claims that its administration does not run any terrorist camp, then it should allow Bharat to destroy all such camps on the soil of Pakistan. Hindus are not in a good condition in Pakistan and in Bangladesh. They have no right to vote, no liberty, no right to raise their voice,” said Shri Bhagwat. He criticised vote-hungry politicians and their ugly ploy to divide provinces through violence.
He came down heavily on China and communist-sponsored red terror inside the country. He said that right from 1962, China has been a major threat to India. Maoism is the product of China. Maoists only believe in exploitation, violence and bloodshed. If they are the real protectors of the poor and Vanvasi people, why do they kill the poor Vanvasis in cold blood? he asked. Maoists are being protected, aided and abetted by China, he said. He strongly condemned China’s occupancy over Tibet and its gradually growing thirst for Arunachal Pradesh.

Paramahansa Swami Prajnananda Giri, the famous Guru of Kriya Yoga, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Swamiji, in his brief but powerful speech, expressed his utter optimism for Akhand Bharat.

Shri Gopal Prashad Mohapatra, Prant Karyavah of Orissa, presided over the function and Kshetra Sanghachalak Shri Ranendranath Bandopadhyay and Prant Sanghachalak Shri Bipin Bihari Nanda were also present on the dais.

BPL families’ cry for help as RSVY faces bureaucratic hurdles in Odisha

BPL families’ cry for help as RSVY faces bureaucratic hurdles in Odisha

BHUBANESWAR(VISAKEO): BPL families in Odisha’s 12 districts out of 30
are struggling to get benefits under the Rashtriya Swasthya Vima
Yojana (RSVY) due to the lack of initiative from the district
collectors in issuing smart cards for the scheme.
The non-issue of the smart cards by March 2010 would also mean that
the financial assistance of Rs 120 crore already released by the
Centre for the scheme, for 2009-10, would lapse.
The 12 districts where RSVY is being implemented are Puri, Nayagarh,
Kalahandi, Nuapara, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Ganjam, Raygada, Sambalpur,
Sundergarh and Khurda.
Though the Union ministry of labour has agreed to include the 19 lakh
odd BPL (below poverty line) families under RSVY as per the 2002 BPL
survey, the district collectors are steadfast in their demand for
issue of cards as per the BPL survey list of 2009 which is yet to be
prepared.
The Union labour ministry has even agreed to accommodate additional
BPL families under the scheme in these 12 districts who have not been
included in the BPL survey list for 2002.
Interestingly, the insistence of the district collectors on the 2009
BPL survey list for issue of the smart cards is as per a circular
issued last month by the Orissa government.
According to the circular, the district collectors were instructed to
adhere to the 2009 BPL survey list for issue of the smart cards. So
far, 40,000 families in Kalhandi district and 30,000 families in
Nayagarh district have been issued the smart cards to facilitate the
implementation of RSVY. However, uncertainty over the issue of smart
cards for the remaining families has cast doubts on the implementation
of the scheme.
As per the original plan, the implementation of RSVY in the State was
scheduled to commence from 2008-09 and get completed in 2012-13.
The New India Assurance Company has been selected by the state
government through an open tender, to implement the scheme.
Under this scheme, the BPL families in 12 districts of the State will
be eligible for health insurance cover up to Rs 30,000 per annum. Such
families will have to contribute Rs 30 as registration charge every
year.
Smart cards will be issued to the beneficiaries, which can be used for
availing the treatment in large number of listed government and
private hospitals. Besides, Rs 100 will be provided as transport cost
to the beneficiaries who leave hospitals after treatment.
The insurance premium will be shared between the Union government and
the state government in the ratio of 75: 25, sources said

re-elected to the office in 2003 and 2006.

BHUBANESWAR: Orissa unit chief of BJP, Jual Oram has deleted pictures
