MAKAR SANKRANTI A Festival to strengthen religious and social Infrastructurer
BHUBANESWAR(VISAKEO)-The thought of Makar sankranti is to get rid of the obscurity of life.In view of our socio-religious beliefs observing the festival to strengthen brothherhood and religiousas well as social infrasture, said Ghanashyam Mahapatra kshetirya saririka pramukha of Rastriya Swayamsevak sangha,Westbengal and Orissa.
The Makar sankranti festival was observed with great grandeur on behalf of Chandan hajuri pravat sakha in Saraswati shisu mandir Unit-3 Bhubaneswar.Sh . Mahaptra as Chief guest of the occassion said that Makar sankranti is a great festival in India.According the counting of solar month Sankranti is the first day of every month.Makar sankranti is the first day of the month Magha. Right from the day the summer solastice occoured. The SUN is the source of all energy and have a great importance for all Indians.Newly produced molases,new rice are offered to daities in villages and temples after performing Havan(Yagnya). This day has great importance in Orissa for a good and sound health.
On the occassion Prof. Gopal Mahapatra Pranta karyabaha of Rastriya swayamsevaka sangha,Sh.Panchanana Rout Organising secretary Of B.J.P. and Tulu Subudhi was also present.
