Kasab Hanged; When Afzal & other Jehadis?

Kasab Hanged; When Afzal & other Jehadis?
Asks Dr Pravin Togadia

New Delhi, November 21, 2012
Ajmal Aamir Kasab, a convict of November 26, 2008 Jehadi attack on Mumbai has been hanged to death today morning. Giving credit of such an accurate & speedy trial & punishment to Mumbai Police & especially to Advocate Ujjwal Nikam, Dr Pravin Togadia, International Working President of VHP said, “Hanging Kasab is a welcome beginning for war on terror that the Indian PM promises only on the foreign soils but back in Bharat, gets Hindus arrested & jailed. There is a long way to go in war against Jehadi Terror. The attacker of Bharat’s Parliament Afzal Guru & other hundreds of Jehadis are living gleefully in Indian jails like parasites eating up Indian tax payers’ hard earned money. They not only are a burden on Bharat but more importantly, they also pose a great danger of the Kandahar like incident which endangers Bharat’s safety & security immensely. Therefore, it is now essential that without any further delay in clearing Afzal Guru’s mercy petition, he should be hanged per the Hon. Supreme Court verdict & other Jehadis should be tried / hanged too. Mumbai blasts 1992 accused / convicts are still sitting in Indian jails & some are roaming free. Gujarat Sabarmati Train burning attack where Ram Bhakts were burnt alive, the main accused is ‘absconding’ yet & there are many such Jehadi attack cases. Union Govt & all state Govts should act on these cases faster & give justice to the victims & also save Bharat from Kandahar like tragedies.”
Dr Togadia further demanded that all the attacks on the police, Army & paramilitary forces in Jammu & Kashmir be treated as Jehadi attacks & the culprits be hanged immediately as over 30,000 Indian police, Army / paramilitary personnel have been killed in past 10 years only in that region alone. Dr Togadia demanded the same system for Assam & rest of North East & urged the Govt to treat the violence by the Bangla Deshi Muslim Infiltrators in North East as Jehadi attacks on Bharat.

26/11 accused ajmal kasab hangs till death

Kasab buried in Pune

Ajmal Kasab, the sole surviving terrorist from the 2008 Mumbai attacks, was hanged to death on Wednesday at Yerwada Jail in Pune. Kasab was executed at 7:30am at Yerwada jail in Pune in Maharashtra after President Pranab Mukherjee rejected his mercy plea earlier this
month.

Pakistan had been informed about the hanging of Kasab, home minister Sushilkumar Shinde said on Wednesday.
He told reporters that President Pranab Mukherjee had rejected Kasab's mercy petition.
"Pakistan has been informed but there is no demand for Kasab's body. The president rejected Kasab's mercy petition Nov 5. I had further forwarded it to the Maharashtra government Nov 8," Shinde told mediapersons.

Maharashtra home minister RR Patil on Wednesday termed it as 'a tribute to people killed in the attacks and a message that India will not tolerate terrorism'.
"He was hanged at 7:30am this (Wednesday) morning," RR Patil told reporters at a press conference in Mumbai.
"The mercy petition of Kasab was rejected by the President, which we received on November 8 after which we have executed him," he said.
Patil added that this is a tribute to the 166 people and policemen who lost their lives in the terror attacks 4 years ago.
Kasab's end came just five days before the fourth anniversary of the brutal terror attacks. The Nov 26-29, 2008 terror siege had claimed 166 lives.
According to sources in the home department, Kasab said that he had no last wish before he was executed.

Kasab was reportedly moved to the Yerawada jail in a secret operation few days ago. His body will not be sent to Pakistan for burial as they had not accepted him as as their citizen, sources added. The Maharashtra home department is completing their paper work on the same and will be announcing his burial details.
Advocate Ujwal Nikam who was the public prosecutor in this case expressed happiness over the move." We have exposed the modus operandi of terror groups operating from Pakistan and sent a message that terrorism will not be tolerated, " Nikam said.
"Yes, Kasab has been hanged this (Wednesday) morning at 7.30 a.m. in Yerawada Central Jail," special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, who led the 26/11 terror attacks case, said.

Kasab buried inside Pune jail
Kasab was buried inside the premises of Pune's Yerawada Central jail shortly after he was hanged, Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan said on Wednesday.
Chavan said Kasab had been shifted from Mumbai to Pune two days ago.
Kasab did not leave behind any will, the chief minister told journalists, adding that he had been buried in the jail premises on the outskirts of Pune.

'Kasab hanging better late than never'
The hanging of Kasab was a case of "better late than never", the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said on Wednesday after the 26/11 Pakistani terrorist was executed in Pune's Yerawada jail.
"It took us four years to finally hang him. Better late than never," BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad told mediapersons in New Delhi.
Asking the government to "expedite the whole process of mercy petitions", Prasad also demanded action against Afzal Guru, who masterminded the attack on parliament in December 2001.
"All the handlers, conspirators of the Mumbai attack still remain at large in Pakistan," Prasad said further.
BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi termed the hanging as "a stern warning to the enemies of India especially those across the border who want to terrorise India".

President rejected mercy plea

President Pranab Mukherjee had rejected the mercy plea of Kasab a few weeks ago, said an official.
"The President had rejected the mercy petition of Kasab a few weeks back. I can't give you the exact date," Venu Rajamony, the president's press secretary, said.

Kasab's mercy petition to President Pranab Mukherjee was the terrorist's last hope.
The move is a strong political message sent by the government before the start of Parliament session and ahead of the Gujarat elections.
The decision came two months after the home ministry rejected Kasab's mercy petition addressed to the President.
Home minister Sushilkumar Shinde's recommendation to the President was in line with the recommendation of Maharashtra governor K Sankaranarayan and the no-mercy-for-terrorists principle laid down by his predecessor P Chidambaram.
Ajmal Kasab and nine fellow Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists had sailed into Mumbai on November 26, 2008 from Karachi and gone on a shooting spree that killed 166 people. Kasab was the only one captured alive by security forces.
Kasab was sentenced to death in May 2010 after he was found guilty of a string of charges, including waging war against India, murder and terrorist acts.
He appealed in the Supreme Court claiming he did not receive a fair trial but his petition was struck down in August.
During the 2008 attacks, the heavily armed terrorists stormed targets in Mumbai including luxury hotels, a Jewish centre, a hospital and a bustling train station.
India blames the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant organisation for training, equipping and financing the gunmen with support from "elements" in the Pakistan military.

Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram stages Dharna in Bhubaneswar

Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram stages Dharna in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar(visakeo) Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram staged a dharna in Bhubaneswar protesting for the socio-economic upliftment and development of indigenous tribes in the remote tribal areas of Odisha. The activists have been demanding a provision of 26% profit sharing in all mines in the recent MMDR Amendment Bill 2011.
The protesters staged a demonstration in front of Raj Bhavan (Governor House) on Monday. Later, they handed over a memorandum on MMDR Amendment Bill 2011 (an amendment to the Mines and Minerals Development and Regulation (MMDR) Act rules) to the Governor.
President Lachhaman Nayak, president of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Odisha, demanded to have provision for 26% profit after Tax (PAT) sharing in all major minerals (including Coal) Sectors to the project affected persons to fulfill their aspiration of NMP 2008.
He dragged the media attention by talking on the key issues and problems that the tribal people of Odisha are facing. He pressed for the missing of Tribals displaced by the mining activities and demand 26% profit share. He said that mining activities in these areas affect Millions of tribals depriving them from ‘Land’ and ‘Forest’, which are the only source of their livelihood. The ineffective Rehabilitation and resettlement policy of the Centre has only settled 25% of the displaced tribals of the country, where as the Mine owners and corporate houses have earned millions of Rupees from these resources, without bothering the miseries of the affected persons of those areas, which give rise to the unrest in the tribal areas. To bring a change in those areas process has been started 3 years back to amend the MMDR Act 1957 after adoption of national mining policy. The proposal of profit sharing in this regards pursued by the Minister of Mines was discussed by the Group of Ministers on the Chairmanship of the then Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who suggested sharing of 26% profit of after Tax to the project affected persons (PAP) and the bill was introduced in the parliament. Problem started after Dhindsa Patel was made minister of Mines. He suggested that the 26% profit sharing be made only for Coal mines. Now the bill introduced in the Parliament and with the parliamentary standing committee of mines for consideration. But it is learnt from the media that both planning commission and the minister are trying to reduce the 26% profit sharing even from coal mines. This is complete betrayal to the tribals and displaced persons by the Central Govt.
He was stick to the following demands:
1. Adhere with own proposal in this regards approved by GOM in MMDR Amendment Bill 2010.
2. Industries utilizing minerals from these mines be included in this policy or 26% profit sharing to PAPs.
3. Provision may be made to include reputed NGOs and representatives in the committees made for identification, rehabilitation and resettlement of project affected persons.
4. Provisions be made in the Bill for constitution of the National Mining Tribunal (NMT), its Circuit Benches, a State Mining Tribunal (SMTs) and Special Mining Courts (SMCs) at the District levels.
5. The Bill should be adequately amended to provide that a sitting judge of the Apex Court is appointed as the Chairperson in the NMT,  a sitting judge of the concerning High Court as Chairperson in all the SMTs and at least one SMC is established in every Mineral/tribal dominated district of the country for convenience of the aggrieved persons.
Along with Lachhaman Nayak, Jagdish Prasad Misra (Working President of the organisation), Panu Majhi (Vice President), Laxmikant Dash (General Secretary), Dhaneswar Mohanta (Secretary) were present and handed over a memorandum to the Governor yesterday.

Day-100: Inspiring the coastal Villages on Gram Vikas; Bharat Parikrama Yatra completes 100 days

Day-100: Inspiring the coastal Villages on Gram Vikas; Bharat Parikrama Yatra completes 100 daysDay-100: Inspiring the coastal Villages on Gram Vikas; Bharat Parikrama Yatra completes 100 days

Karki, Uttara Kannda District, November 16, 2012: 100 days! RSS Pracharak Sitarama Kedilaya lead Bharat Parikrama Yatra has successfully completed the first 100 days, on Friday, the yatra has reached a coastal village Karki of Northern Karnataka. Senior RSS Functionaries, well wishers, villagers received Bharat Parikrama Yatra at Karki Village this morning which arrived from Kasarakode Village where Kedilaya stayed yesterday.
Bharata Parikrama Yatra was launched at Kanyakumari on August 9-2012
Launched on August 9 at Kanyakumari, BHARAT PARIKRAMA YATRA is aimed to uplift the rural Indian Life. The Yatra has a scheduled duration of 5 years, covering 15000km, reaching almost all districts of India. SITARAMA KEDILAYA, held the position of Akhil Bharatiya Seva Pramukh last year. Hailing from Salmara village of Puttur of Karnataka, Sitaram Kedilaya has rendered his service as an RSS Pracharak since 1970.
Elaborating on the yatra, Sitarama Kedilaya said that a span of about 10 kilo metres will be covered on a daily basis by foot, after which he will take rest in the village that falls in the vicinity. The primary task he has to undertake will be to get in touch with the youth and the prominent members of the village and discuss important issues like care of sick. This will include the handicapped, blind etc. Other activities like taking a round of the entire village and engaging in a collective session of prayer at the village temple. This will help create a bond of great depth with the people, which will help the villagers realize that villages were, once upon a time, a single encompassing family. However, this feeling has taken a back seat now, which has led to a whole lot of problems everywhere. This has now escalated to national and international levels. The feeling of unity, along with creation of family bonds, if brought back to villages will ensure restoration of harmony to a great extent. This could be instrumental in the rekindling of the concept of ‘Vasudha Eva Kudumbakam’. And then, the journey will resume to the next village.
65 year old Sitarama Kedilaya has been, for a long time, strictly adhered to having a single meal a day. During the course of the journey, he will have no possessions or belongings with him. When asked what inspired him to undertake the endeavor at this age, that too all alone, he replied, “What makes you feel that I am alone? I have the thoughts and ideas of as many as 121 crore people with me. After all the very deed is for an all encompassing nation.”
Kedilaya has dedicated a slogan for the purpose. “Know Bharat, be Bharat and Make Bharat Vishwaguru”. The reason for the yatra is clear. The current trends that prevail are businesslike and commercial , where life is being seen only in terms of trade and profit. This unfortunately has given rise to poverty, unemployment and corruption everywhere. Another trend that prevails is that the world is now a battlefield, with life being nothing but constant strife. This thought stream has led to violence, terrorism and an existence hand with deadly weapons everywhere. This has led to deep turbulence and instability, with people all over the world making a mad scramble for any straw that will provide them with peace. And then this makes them realize that the road to solitude, ultimately happens to be Bharat. It is here that the relevance of the third and most important trend comes into being: “The world is a family and life is a revelation”.
Bharat has gifted this very concept to the entire world. This perception has no violence or strife. All it has is the message to live life filled with universal love, spirituality and compassion. Only this is required to pervade the entire world with harmony. The best place to initiate this is the villages. And so the endeavour is being undertaken for safeguarding villages, the country and the entire world.
