RSS 3 day top national meet ABKM begins at Chennai, Resolution likely on Border Infiltration

Chennai November 3, 2012: RSS Sarsanghachalak  Mohan Bhagawat inaugurated the 3 day top RSS national annual meet Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarini Mandal Baitak (ABKM) one of the highest body for policy formulation and decision making, at Shiva Shankar Baba Ashram, Kelambakkam near Chennai, this morning.

RSS General secretary Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi accompanied Mohan Bhagwat during the inaugural. RSS apex body paid tributes to several national leaders, great personalities who expired since March-2012. Resolutions on Border Infiltration, Land aquisition bill related issues are likely expected. The ABKM has taking place in the absence of former RSS Chief KS Sudarshan, who died in Raipur on Sepember 15, 2012.
RSS Karnataka Pranth Sanghachalaks M. Venkataram and Khageshan Pattana Shetty,  RSS Pranth Karyavah N.Tippeswamy of Bangalore, Kajampady Subrahmanya Bhat and Aravinda Deshapande of Belgaum, Sridhar Nadiger and several other senior Sangh leaders of Karnataka are participating in ABKM.
Representatives elected from RSS-Shakhas of all regions of the country, state level office bearers of RSS, National office bearers of Sangh affiliated (Sangh Parivar) organizations will attend all the three days of the meeting.

Prominent leaders from Bharateeya Kisan Sangh, working for the farmers; Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram, a tribal welfare organization; Akhil Bharateeya Vidyarthi Parishad, one of the biggest student organization of the contry; Bharateeya Mazdoor Sangh, a leading trade union; Vishwa Hindu Parishad, a forum of Sadhus, Sants and Pontiffs; Bharatiya Janata Party, one of the two most important political parties of India; are attending the meeting.
Office bearers of Vidhya Bharati, Vijnana Bharati, Kreeda Bharati, Seva Bharati, Samskrit Bharati, Samskar Bharati, Laghu Udyog Bharati as well as leaders from Rashtra Sevika Samithi, Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, Deendayal Samshodhan Samsthan, Bharat Vikas Parishad, Shaikshanika Mahasangh, Dharmajagaran will be participating in the conclave.
Reports of activities of all these organizations will be submitted in the meeting. State wise activities of the RSS will be reviewed. Important national issues will be discussed and necessary resolutions will be passed in the meeting.
Began today, Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarini Mandal Baitak (ABKM) or All India Executive Council Meeting will be concluding on Sunday November 4, 2012.  The meeting will deliberate on reviewing and future planning of organizational matters and activities and some resolutions on key national issues will be passed in the meeting.
The Sanghachalak (President), Karyavah (Secretary) and Pracharak (Organizing secretary) heading each Prant (state units) of RSS from all over India will take part in this ABKM that meets twice every year. Other than these state functionaries, the 400 participants will include prominent select activists from social organizations working in different walks of life in the society.
On all these days, updates of the meeting will be given by senior officials of Sangh to the press.  A media center has been set up for this purpose.
After the inauguration ceremony, Sangh paid condolences to its veteran leaders and eminent personalities in various fields who passed away during the last six months. Notable among them beingFormer RSS Sarsanghchalak  KS Sudharsan, Sri Nithyananda Swamiji Former President of Ramakrishna Tapovanam, Trichy, Tamilnadu, Poojaneeya Vaman Rao Pai of Maharashtra, Padma Vibhushan Dr. Varghese Kurian of Amul, Master Tara Singh, Socialist leader Mrinal Gore, Film personalities Rajesh Khanna, Yash Raj Chopra, Jaspal Bhatti, B P Singhal former IPS Officer and brother of veteran Ashok Singhal, Master Tara Singh, Kasiram Rana, Balasaheb Apte,  Kedarnath Sahni, Sangh Pracharak Jothi Swarup and Sri Nana Joshi, and host of others.

Resolution on Border Infiltraion: 
Addressing media on Wednesday, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh said that the ABKM likely to pass 2  resolutions. Concerning the rampant of illegal immigration from Bangladesh and the threat posed to the very existence of the indigenous people by illegal Bangladeshi nationals and the newly proposed Land Acquisition Bill, wherein the lands of tribals are taken away for development of industries etc. and which affects the rural and farming sector, Dr Manmohan Vaidya said that Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh propose to pass these two resolutions. Dr. Vaidya said more members of Executive Council are expected tomorrow and scope of resolutions could further expand after discussions with them.
