Swadeshi mela to kick off from October 11 - Naveen Patnaik, Raman Singh will inaugurate the mela

Bhubaneswar (VISAKEO): A weeklong Swadeshi Mela will be held from October 11 to 17 at the Exhibition Ground here for the second time, which is organised by the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (SJM)-backed Centre for Bharatiya Marketing Development. As many 500 stalls will be on display during the weeklong Mela, in which farmers and traders from across the country will participate with their Swadeshi products. A preparatory meeting was held here and discussed the about the mela. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh will jointly inaugurate the mela, said organising committee co-coordinator chairman Golak Nayak  on Monday. Besides, Law and Industry Minister Bishwa Bhusan Harichandan, Energy and Culture Minister Surya Narayan Patro, Urban Development Minister KV Singh Deo were among those have included in the committee, will look after the whole mela, he said. He further added that the Swadeshi Mela focuses on the capabilities and achievements of 'Bharatiya' trade, industries and services.
