State level seminar held

Bhubaneswar: (Visakeo)-Orissa unit of Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad held a State level seminar on ‘Why Literature’ here at ICAI Bhawan. Parishad’s National vice-president Krushna Chandra Goswami said that literature brings growth in both life and society.
The literature should not be entertaining in nature instead educative, he added. He further alleged that the present day literature has lost its real value. Orissa Bhasa Pratistana director Prof Prafulla Chandra Rath attended the seminar as chief speaker while Niranjan Padhi gave the inaugration speech.
Dr Nagendra Pradhan presided over the seminar. Madhusudan Das identified the guests. Bansidhar Das coordinated the senimar. Earlier, SN Das recited Jagannath Bhajans. BC Mohanty, Nirakar Mahalik, Sricharan Mohanty, AC Pahi and NN Nayak were among those present.
