Give protection to divorced Hindu women, demands Samiti
Bhubaneswar:(visakeo) Orissa unit of Rashtra Sevika Samiti on Tuesday strongly criticized the State Government's move to provide special protection to divorce Muslim women and monthly pension. The Samiti terming the decision as unconstitutional also demanded same facilities for the divorce Hindu women. Samiti State coordinator Lalita Padhi said the decision of the Government was a step forward for Muslim appeasement policy. "If special protection and monthly pension for Muslim women, why the Government silent on Hindu women," she asked. She also criticised the Sachar Committee and Justice Ranganath Mishra committee reports and recent move of the Andhra Pradesh Governmnet to provide subsidies to Christians.
