HJS condemns Mauni Baba’s murder

BHUBANESWAR(Visakeo)- June 2: The Hindu Jagaran Samukhya on Tuesday condemned the brutal murder of Mauni Baba aka Rama Charan Das Maharaj and demanded strong action against the killers and conspirators behind the murder case.
“Even despite several request and representation, the Naveen Patnaik led Government in Orissa has completely failed in protecting Hindu seers and saints,” HJS State general secretary Ajit Patnaik said.
Terming the murder as yet another planned conspiracy to demoralize the Hindus, he however demanded a high level probe into the murder that took palace at Kumbharapara on the outskirt of the holy city of Puri.
Due to the failure of the present Government, Hindu seers and saints are coming under frequent attacks from anti-social elements. The Government must apologies publicly for its failure, he added. Mauni baba was killed by unidentified persons with sharp edged weapons near his ashram while he was probably going for a morning walk.
