State puts on high alert after serial blasts in UP

Bhubaneswar: (visakeo)Security forces across the State have been put
on high alert with special security measures have also been pressed
into action in the wake of serial blasts in Uttar Pradesh on Friday
afternoon. "After the serial blasts, we have asked senior security
forces working in the State Capital here, Biju Patnaik Air Port,
pilgrimage town of Puri, Cuttack, Balasore and other places to be
remain alert and made adequate security measures ahead of the Kartika
Purnima on Saturday," Home Department sources said here. Three serial
blasts that rocked civil courts in Lucknow, Faizadbad and Varanasi
have also put the Police forces here on high alert with many places of
Orissa are already under the threat of terrorist attack. Meanwhile,
after the blasts, State unit of RSS has demanded more security for
Temples across the State. RSS in a statement also condemned the
incident.
