Install Savarkar Statue in France: Hindus tell govt

Install Savarkar Statue in France: Hindus tell govt
Hindus want the 10 year impasse in installing Veer Savarkar’s Statue in France to be ended. Recently, they petitioned the government to his effect. On August 3, 2009, Hindu Janajagriti Samiti (HJS) representative along with the representatives of other Hindu organizations in Chennai submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Tamilnadu, His Excellency Mr. Surjit singh Barnala urging the Central Government to construct a Memorial for the great freedom fighter, Veer Savarkar in Marseilles port, France. The following dignitaries were present during the submission of memorandum. Shri.. V. Sundaram, Retd.IAS Officer, Associate Editor, News Today; Shri.L. Natarajan, RSS, Chennai; Shri. P. Prabhakaran, Sanatan Sanstha, Chennai; Shri. Parthasarathi, VHP Chennai; Smt. Uma Ravichandran, HJS; Shri.Kashinath Shetti, HJS. The Governor accepted the memorandum and assured the delegation that it will be forwarded to the President of India.

Hindus are not pleased by the antics of Muslim Outfits
Muslim outfits in Tamilnadu with questionable history are busy these days in posing as champions of seva and desh bhakti. Two recent instances prove this: ONE: Nellaippar (Shiva) temple is the main place in the city of Tirunelveli, This place has been earmarked for Tourism Development and measures are taken for the same. As a black mark, there is a state government – run wine shop on the North Rath Street of the temple. Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam has given a petition to the collector to shift the wine shop. Secretary Usman Khan claimed that another wine shop in West Rath Street was shifed after various organizations including TMMK fought for it. TWO: Manitha Neya Paasarai, another Muslim outfit, said that it would conduct a ‘march past’ by its volunteers in military uniform in Kumbakonam, Tamilnadu, on August 15. The Hindus are in no mood to relish this farce. They have registered their protest with the police.

DID YOU REALISE?!
2010 is a leap year!
Yes, ‘Veer Savarkar-Leap Year’!!
Veer Savarkar-‘Marseilles sea-leap’ Centenary Appeal

On 8 July 1910, a freedom-fighter escaped into international waters, and almost succeeded.

A memorial ceremony has been planned at the French port of Marseilles on 8 July 2010.
People of Indian Origin and all those who support liberty are invited to attend on 8 July 2010.

Permission for a fitting memorial of this event on Marseilles seafront has been reportedly approved by the French authorities, awaiting final clearance by the Indian Government*.

To succeed, this project will require additional public funding.

People can help the memorial in more ways than one.
• Making a donation is the simplest way.

I am coordinating the memorial effort from UK free of Govt.* red-tape and at this stage am able to make two promises:

• Any funds raised would be used ONLY for the successful achievement of a Savarkar Memorial at Marseilles, in s format appropriate for the spirit of liberty’ which the local French would continue to admire & adore;
• Every paisa raised will be audited and account made available on the w.w.web.

Kindly let me know if you have raised any funds for this project and whether you are willing to entrust these under the above two guarantees.

Thank you for your help in the cause in any way you can.
