Dear Sir,

We the Indian people strongly urge the Indian government to strongly take action to prosecute Arundhati Roy and other anti nationals like her who use their celebrity status and parade on the basis of anti India elements. In August 2008 this self serving individual had no compunction in sharing the stage with religious fascists promoting hate and division in Kashmir. She has a track record in supporting ideological extremists in India engaged in terrorising millions of people to promote balkanisation of our nation and further demoralise Indian security forces fighting terrorism to protect innocent lives.

We request that Arundhati Roy is arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act of 1967, amended in 2004-05. The Act says, "Secession of a part of the territory of India from the Union includes the assertion of any claim to determine whether such part will remain a part of the territory of India." The offences listed under this law include any assertion or statement "which is intended, or supports any claim, to bring about, on any ground whatsoever, the cession of a part of the territory of India or the secession of a part of the territory of India from the Union, or which incites any individual or group of individuals to bring about such cession or secession".

We the people of India have borne the brunt of terror attacks around the world. Bomb after bomb is targeted at innocent civilians with sickening regularity and amidst the pictures of bleeding bodies and smashed holy places it is not surprising then to not even hear a whimper from the usual very vocal Arundhati Roy and her fellow travellers involved in the lucrative business of selective human rights in South Asia.

We additionally urge the withdrawal of her passport to put a stop to these people travelling around the world to preach anti-India propaganda. These people have no voice for the victims of terror, the destruction of indigenous culture or the terrible record of violence against women and children but are happy to march with and beat the drum of people whose sole intention is to hurl South Asia into a medieval age of unrestrained violence and religious division.

These people have stayed notably silent over the terrible events occurring in the peaceful city of Mumbai recently. We the Indian people feel that now is the time for these people to be brought to bay and be prosecuted under Indian law. The fake veneer of fighting for the people whilst justifying the killing of the same people can no longer be borne by the peaceful Indian people. Gandhiji launched the Swadeshi movement to liberate both the minds and bodies of slavery and Imperialist dogma and now it is high time that a new Swadeshi and Quit India movement is launched to free India from those seeking to exploit the misery and suffering afflicting this ancient land today.

Jai Hind
