GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATION OF RASTRADEEP INAUGURATED

Golden Jubilee Celebration of Rastradeep   inaugurated

Bhubaneswar 9/11- The Golden Jubilee Celebration of Rastradeep, the only nationalist Odiya Weekly Newspaper being published from Cuttack since 1964 started with a colourful programme at IDCOL Auditorium, Bhubaneswar in the evening of 9th November, 2013. The programme was presided over by Dr. Raghunath Mohapatra. Delivering welcome address, Editor of Rastradeep Jagabandhu Mishra informed about the yearlong various programmes of golden Jubilee. He said that Readers' conference would be organised at 50 places of the state. Efforts would be made to increase the circulation and the number of readers.  The concluding programme of the Golden Jubilee is scheduled to be held at Shahid Bhawan, Cuttack on 10th August 2014 which would be graced by Mohanrao Bhagabat, Sarasanghachalak of R.S.S.

Speaking at this inaugural ceremony the chief-speaker Dattatreya Hosbole Sahasarakaryabaha of R.S.S and Chief Guest Gopal Krishna Mohapatra Senior Journalist highlighted on the glorious history of Indian Media particularly the regional media. They also spoke on the crisis of aceeptability which now grips the media. They advised that media insteed of running after commercialism and sensation should strive to look after the greader interst of society and the nation. They congratulated the management and staff of Rastradeep for running this weekly for last 50 years.

Professor Dinesh Prasad Pattnaik proposed the vote of thanks. The artists of Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir, Unit-III, Bhubaneswar sang the welcome song . Golakha Chandra Das,Dhruba Charan Behera, Ghanashyam Mohapatra,Jayakrishna Prusthy, contributed in the successful proceedings of the programme.
