Pune (Maharashtra) : ‘Political parties take no cognizance of Hindus and pro-Hindu organisations and always take them for granted. No agenda is prepared for welfare of Hindus. In the background of elections, therefore, a separate code of conduct will be formulated for Hindus and pro-Hindu organisations. In future, vote for people who really work for Hindus’ interest and do not vote for those who just talk about Hindus’ interests.’ The above appeal was made by Shri. Sunil Ghanavat, the Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for Maharashtra. He was speaking in a press conference held on 28th October after conclusion of regional Hindu Convention to give its details. Advocate Devadas Shinde, Secretary of ‘Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad’, Shri. Gajanan Keskar, Pune District Coordinator of HJS, Shri. Shekhar Tandale of Sanatan Sanstha and Shri. Umakant Kendre of Hindu Mahasabha were present on the occasion. Shri. Ghanavat gave information on the resolutions passed by pro-Hindu activists, outcome of the Convention and policy formed by pro-Hindu activists under ‘common point program’.

Firm opposition to anti-superstitions Act !

All pro-Hindu activists unanimously decided to oppose the anti-superstitions Act. Shri. Ghanavat said in this connection, “The Government passed anti-superstitions Ordinance to get sympathy of reformists after Dr. Dabholkar’s killing. This anti-Hindu Act will be opposed under ‘common point program’ planned by pro-Hindu activists. In a Government magazine called ‘Lok-rajya’, an article has been published in the name of one administrative officer. All the points given in this article have been already included in a book published by Shyam Manav few months back. Thus, Shyam Manav’s contentions are published in the name of an administrative officer. HJS’ view is that the Act should be cancelled. HJS opposed this Act in the past, opposes it now and will oppose it even in future.” Advocate Devdas Shinde also warned that awareness would be created amongst advocates from 288 talukas and 48 districts of Maharashtra and the Government would be forced to withdraw the said Act.”

IBN Lokmat’s reporter asks cynical questions

“You are making demand of Hindu Rashtra; means don’t you believe in Constitution? Was the killing of Dr. Dabholkar condemned in this Convention; or are you trying to create a vote bank of Hindus ?”, asked reporter of IBN Lokmat.
