Agra: A three-day “Yuva Sankalp Shivir” organised by the RSS begins today, from November 1st , at Astha City in Agra.
RSS SarSanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat will interact with the young students participating in this conclave.
Around 5,000 youth, most of them graduates and undergraduates are participating in the Yuva Sankalp Shivir. Eminent educationists such as Anand Kumar, founder of the Patna-based “Super-30” training school for IIT entrance, and Union Minister General VK Singh will address the youth at the conclave.
“Through the Yuva Sankalp Shivir, RSS plans to come directly in touch with the students. The Sangh’s focus is on students who have passed Class XII and are pursuing their Degree courses. The idea of this Shivir is to give young minds the right direction and a motto in life,” said Padam Singh, Brij-Prant Students’ (working) in-charge of RSS.
Singh explained that RSS had approached around 30,000 students from various colleges across 12 cities that includes Agra, Mathura, Bareilly and Aligarh, among others. The 5,000 students who finally made it to the camp were selected after several rounds of group discussions.
“We wanted to short list leaders from among the students. Leaders in terms of those who have leadership qualities, so that they can spread the knowledge given by us to the masses. I expect that the 5000 students who will stay with us in the camp will create many others like them at their homes and in their respective friend circles,” explained Padam Singh.
