ABVP NATIONAL CONVENTION FROM TOMORROW

Bhubaneswar,25/11-The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) would organise its 61st national convention here from November 26 at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Nagari in the SOA University premises.
The four-day convention would have discussions on the topics of environment, education, employment, terrorism, women protection, youth politics and terrorism in Odisha, informed ABVP national general secretary Shrihari Borikar at a Press meet here on Tuesday.
Students are now interested in patriotism and social works, said Borikar. Four proposals, role of younger generation in tackling terrorism and protecting environment, new education policy for development and the importance of students and youths for the growth of the North-Eastern States in the country would be passed in the convention, he added. 
Eminent economist Bibek Debroy and eminent author Amish Tripathi would inaugurate the meet. They would felicitate renowned Bollywood film director and writer Imtiaz Ali on the occasion. Around 2,000 students across the country would participate in the national meet, Borikar informed. Among others, ABVP national president Prof Nagesh Thakur and State secretary Pramod Rout were present.
