ABVP DECRIES DELAY IN CIRCULATING +2 BOOKS

Bhubanneswar,28/7:-Members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Wednesday protested the delay in circulation of Plus II books on demand even as Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directed the concerned authorities to provide the books by August 15.
Staging a demonstration in front of the State Text Book Bureau Office here slammed the Government for not facilitating providing books despite the beginning of academic session.
“Before introducing the new curriculum, the State Government has not done proper homework. Neither it develops infrastructure properly nor distributes books as per the upgraded CBSE pattern curriculum,” said ABVP city office secretary Nirakar Sahu.
“Though the Government has changed the course curriculum but books are yet to be provided to the student which is highly deplorable,” said ABVP State secretary Abhilash Panda.
Raining doubts about the completion of the course within the stipulated time, Panda said now there is a need of 230 classes to complete CBSE patterned course. “We have doubts whether the classes can be completed with the academic year itself,” Panda said.
ABVP secretary Gama Sigma, Prabhudatta Samal, Balakrushana Mandal, Laxmipriya Sahu, Rajendra Sahu, Itishri Sahu, Pragyanshree Acharya, Santosha Panda and Prativa Balabantray led the agitation.
