ABVP to observe 2007 as revolutionary year

Bhubaneswar: As per the resolution passed at the National Convention ended at Hyderabad, the State unit of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parisahd will observe the 2007 as revolutionary year to mark respect to the 150 years of Sepoy Mutiny, birth centenary of Saheed Bhagat Singh and 60 years of Independence while joining the countrywide celebration conducted by the Parishad this year. In order to awake the educated youths about nationalism.
From January 12 to 23, Parishad would organize a Yuva Mahostav in the State.  Speaking to reporters here on Friday, Parishad State secretary Nirmal Sarangi said that the National Convention has passed three resolution and all the three would observe here in the State. Status of Education, internal security and mood of nation are among those issues would kept under close watch in 2007. He alleged that the Congress lead UPA Government has been determined to go ahead with its Muslim appeasement policy and it has failed in controlling the prices of the essential commodities, petrol and diesel. Meanwhile, Parishad National Council has again chosen Siba Prasad Padhi as president and Nirmal Sarangi as secretary for 2007(visakeo)
