Puri will be made spiritual capital of the country, Sankaracharya

Bhubaneswar: While expressing deep concerns over the insecurity of Hindu religious establishments and religious preachers in the country, Puri Seer Swami Nischalananda Saraswati has said the Puri, which is one among the best religious places in the Kali Yuga will be made as the spiritual capital of the Country. "Orissa along with the Country would be made a secure place for Hindus to live while cases of cow slaughter would also vanish from the map," Gobardhan Pitha Sankaracharya said while speaking at a Hindu congregation on the occasion of Pousa Purnima at Puri Beach in Puri. On this occasion, he was inaugurated the Mahodadhi Arati, which will be held from across the country on different dates. Next Arati will be held at Kolkata on Makar Sankranti followed by at Kanyakumari, sources in the Gobardhan Pitha informed on Friday. Sankaracharya said political leadership should work jointly with the religious preachers, which would help in providing a safer place to live for the Hindus in the country.  "Aimless politics and negligence to Hinduism would lead the country towards division and the Government should provide ample security to the Hindu religious preachers," he said. He alleged that country's present political leadership is being controlled by alien forces and it was an alarm bell for all the Hindus, he said adding conspiracy is mounting against Nepal to convert it as a Secular Country instead a Hindu Rashtra. Bedanta Keshari Swami Laxmananda Saraswati of Chakapada, Gajapati king Dibya Singh Dev, RSS Pranta Pracharaka Ajit Prasad Mohapatra, Prachar Pramukha Simanchal Khatua, Swami Jiban Chaitnya Maharaj, Bhagaban Das Maharaj and Swami Arupananda Maharaj were among those present on this occasion.
