Hindu saint lashes out at pseudo-secularists animal right activists

Bhubaneswar:(Visakeo) Senior Hindu saint and Go Gita Govinda Chetana Parishad State chief Naga Santha Krushna Chandra Das on Wednesday lashed out at pseudo-secularists animal rights activists for their double standards on religious festivals.

He alleged that the so-called animal right activists take to street, when animal sacrifice take place during Hindu festival but they maintained studied silence at a time, when 25 thousand cattle have been murdered on the occasion of Id-ul-Juha.

He further alleged that a large number of domestic animals have been massacred in Cuttack, Pir Bazar, Raisunga, Mahanga, Tangi, Athagarh, Bhadrak, Tihidi, Ram Nagar, Jajpur, Brahama Barada, Mayurbhanj, Rairangpur, Anandapur, Khurda, Pattamundai, Patakura, Koraput, Kalahandi and several other places.
“On Hindu festivals, they alleges animal sacrifice as illegal but in Muslim festivals, they kept mum,” the Hindu Seer charged. The animal right activists should not adopt double standard, he suggested.
