Development
of India: Philosophy of Swami Vivekananda is the only way
Bhubaneswar, 29/09/2013(VSK ODISHA) – Swami
Vivekananda’s philosophy is the only way for India’s development. This was a
common perception in today’s seminar organized by Prabudhha Bharat on the
occasion of 150th year birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda in
Biju Patnaik auditorium of OUAT. During the inaugural session, under the Chairmanship
of Col. Sarat Kumar Mahapatra, many dignitaries such as, Murtidevi Awardee Shri
Hara Prasad Dash; Shri Viswas Lapalkar from Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari;
Swami Adwaiyananda from Rama Krushna Math elaborated on Swamiji’s vision for a
better and stronger India.
In a group discussion, under the
moderation of senior journalist Shri Rajaram Satapathy, various established
persons from different sectors, such as, educationist Dr. Basanta Panda; senior
writer Dr. Shakuntala Baliarsingh, philosopher Dr. Priyadarshi Kar discussed on
role of intellectuals in building nation. There was a very exciting
participation from all the intellectual delegates who were present in the
seminar.
In the concluding session, Shri Sarat
Chandra Mishra, Ex-DG of Odisha Police graced the occasion as Chief Guest who
opined that such seminars bringing intellectuals from various spheres of
society shall surely help in upliftment of the society as a whole. Dr. Pothula Srinivas
Brahmanand, eminent scientist and marathon speaker who holds Guinness Book of
World Record; Dr. Kalikinkar Patnaik, Ex-Principal of Khallikote Autonomous College
and others summarized their articles released in form of a Souvenir in the
programme explaining on Swamiji’s different thoughts from various aspects of
life.
Shri Harihara Satapathy, the
Organizing Secretary of Prabudhha Bharat and Dr. Dhirendra Nanda, Pranta Sachiv
of Swami Vievakananda Sardha Shati Samaroha Samiti, gave vote of thanks. To
conclude the seminar singers from Saraswati Sishu Mandir of Unit 8,
Bhubaneswar, sang Vande Mataram. Other team members of Prabudhha Bharat, Adv.
Rabi Shankar Patnaik, Shri Ravi Naidu, Dr. Prabhas Tripathy and Mr. Swayam
Prakash Baral spearheaded the management of the seminar.
