Samiti (UBSS) organised two days NGO
workshop in its Sewa Premise situated in Mancheswar Industrial Estate. The
workshop was conducted over 11th and 12th June 2016
covering the aspect of health, rural development and livelihood. One hundred
fifty nine Representatives from one hundred twelve organisations from 27
districts of Odisha participated in the workshop.
UBSS is a
voluntary Organization created to serve the destitute and works with many other
like-minded organizations from where it gets disciplined work force to carry
out rescue, relief and rehabilitation work in a systematic wayfor the social
welfare & upliftment of the downtrodden and underprivileged.
Shri Jual Oram,
Hon’ble minister of Tribal Affairs, Govt. Of India inaugurated the event on 11th
June. Govt officials from Tribal affairs and rural development took different
technical session over the two days. They shared information about popular schemes
where the NGOs can play crucial role in reaching out to public.
Kshetra pracharak
of Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangha Shri Pradeep JoshiJi addressed the representatives, and appealed all the NGOs to
work with prime objective of sewa and helping the drowntodden and needy people,
also he praised the initiative of UBSS for conducting the workshop with an
objective of capacity building among NGOs. National management team member of
Rastriya Sewa Bharti Sunder Laxmanji highlighted the work of Rastriya Sewa Bharati
across the nation and how SHGs could bring transformation in our society.
President of UBSS,
Sri Prakash Betala gave vote of thanks to the guests and other dignitaries
present for their valuable time. Also he thanked all the participants and assured them of conducting more such workshops in
future.
