Bhubaneswar:(Visakeo)- A 16-member delegation from Orissa led by its president Pujya Swami Pranarupananda Saraswati attended the national executive of Banabasi Kalyan Ashram, which held at Bangalore from September 19 to 21, BKS media cell chief Sumanta Kumar Panda said on Thursday. Around 500 representatives from across the country attended the executive meet, which discussed various issues of the country. Delegates while condemning the brutal murder of Swami Laxmananda Saraswati and for of his disciples at Jalespata Ashram in Kandhamal district on August 23, however demanded death sentences for the killers. They also asked Orissa Government to strictly implement anti-conversion and anti-cow slaughter laws. The delegates also seek ban on NGOs working for conversion in Orissa and elsewhere in the country.
BKS general secretary Dr Laxmikanta Das, organizing secretary Rajendra Madala, Biswanath Pradhan, Prakash Betala, Ranjan Pradhan and Mahiram Mahanta were among those in the delegation.
