VHP slams police action on its workers

Bhubaneswar: (Visakeo)Viswa Hindu Parishad State general secretary Gouri Prasad Rath on Wednesday came down heavily on Orissa Government for its failure to nab the killers of Swami Laxmananda Saraswati. Rath also condemned illegal arrest of RSS, VHP and Bajarang Dal workers in Kandhamal district. The police illegally arresting Hindus while the killers of Swamiji moving freely, Rath alleged. He further alleged that the police excess on Hindus would affect the peace talks initiated by the State Government.

Police have arrested 35 people including few of our workers without any valid reason, Rath pointed out. Rath said due to curfew and police excess, people in Phulbani, Raikia, G Udaygiri, Tikabali, Tumudibandha, Nuagaon, Gochhapada, Phiringia and Baliguda are suffering a lot.
