Swami Jeevan Chaitanya quits hunger strike

Bhubaneswar, 22/10/08 (VISAKEO): On the request of Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Puri Govardhan Pitha Swami Nischalananda Saraswati, Swami Jeevan Chaitanya of Kendriya Marga Darshak Mandali Sadasya of VHP has quit the hunger strike that he had sat on three days before in dharna. He joined the strike to get the justice from the government regarding the murder of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati in Kandhamal on 23rd August night. He had announced to carry the hunger strike on till the justice is done with late Swamiji. He had demanded for the arrest of the chief conspirators behind Swamiji’s slain. But Swami Nischalananda Saraswati had convinced him to quit the strike as the present time never allows sacrificing himself and we have already lost a saint.

The Sara Sangh Chalak (All India President) of RSS Sri K.S. Sudarshan had reuested him to withdraw the strike saying to go long run and battle for the rights and justice of the common innocent people in the village. He broke Swami’s strike offering fruit juice and consolation not to sacrifice his life at this moment as there is along way to go. Along with Sri Sudarshanji, the Sahasar Karyabaha (the Joint Secretary) of RSS Madan Das Devi, Akhila Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Manmohan Baidya, Khetra Pracharak Sunil Pada Goswami, Sahakhetra Pracharak Ajit Mohapatra, Pranta Pracharak Jagdeesh Khadanga, Pranta Karyabaha Gopal Mohapatra and many well-designated persons were present and requested Swami Jeevan Chaitanya to quit from his hunger strike.
