VHP terms Naveen Patnaik as”anti-Hindu”
BHUBANESWAR(Visakeo) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) President Ashok Singhal on Monday accused Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik of being ‘anti-Hindu’ after his fallout with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the State. Singhal said that Patnaik is ‘anti-Hindu’ and this is the reason for his fallout with BJP.“I never expected him to act in this manner. I never expected that he would fool Hindus like this,” said Singhal addressing a news conference here.
Warning the BJD chief of facing the anger of Hindu saints, the VHP leader further added that a nation wide campaign has been launched to mobile public opinion against the vested interest political class.
He said this was going to be one of the major deciding factors in the coming assembly and Lok Sabha elections in the state. The saffron leader even called for all Hindu seers and saints in Orissa to come forward and ask the public not to vote for a party (BJD) that cannot give protection to Hindus.
Earlier, on Sunday, Singhal was speaking at Dharma Rakshya Mancha, where about 500 saints and seers from across the state took part in the convention. He added that the Manch has worked an 11-piont program to mobilise public opinion. VHP State general secretary GP Rath and Bajarang Dal national co-convener Subash Chauhan were among those present.
