BHUBANESWAR: (visakeo)The results of supplementary High School Certificate Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Orissa, were declared today, with 30.47 percent passing the examination. Last year, the pass percentage was 31.03.
In all, 70,764 candidates had appeared, out of which 21,143 passed. Of them, 248 candidates secured first division and 3,247 second division. As many as 13,061 secured third division.
Of the total passed students, 12,110 were boys and 9,033 girls. The examination was held from September 19 to 28. Examination Controller A.S.Bhol said the results of 194 candidates were withheld. The board had caught 1,185 candidates indulging in malpractice.
