Hindustan Samachar turns 50

Bhubaneswar (Visakeo): Hindustan Samachar News Agency celebrated its Golden jubilee on December 17. The ceremonial meeting held in the IDCOL auditorium. The meeting started with rituals and later with a lucid opening song. Cooperation minister Surama Padhi was the Chief Guest of the function. Addressing the meeting Surama padhi urged the new generation journalists to work without any pressure to find out the facts. She emphasized on the professionalism of a dedicated journalist. She also praised the role of Hindustan Samachar in the field of journalism. She also highlighted the role of a dedicated journalist in nation building. Srikant Joshi, who was the chief speaker of the function, in his speech stressed the role of media in society building. He also mentioned that Hindustan Samachar will reach to the every society with the regional language. He also narrated the role of media should be a rural level effort. He then advised the media person to be fearless and act for national building and to highlight the issue of the downtrodden society. Bibhu Prasad Pattnaik Chairman Hindustan Samachar cooperative presided the meeting. Dr. Pramod Sahu was the Guest of Honor of the function in his speech narrated the role of media in the development of the nation. He also admired the presence of information technology in the fast grow of the information. "The active journalists are the key for the development of nation", said he. In the end Sanghamitra Pradhan presented the vote of thanks.
