New Delhi: The Vishva Hindu Parishad(VHP) chief, Ashok Singhal, has claimed that their party workers were also involved in the Anna Hazare’s movement at Ramlila Maidan. The assertion only confirmed speculation that the Sangh Parivar was supporting Anna Hazare.
The VHP chief has praised VHP members for their ‘commendable job’ in making Anna Hazare’s movement a success. Members of the Dharma Yatra Mahasangh, a wing of the VHP, had opened stalls at Ramlila Maidan to offer food to over 20,000 people every day. He dismissed the allegations of their organization taking advantage in their unprecedented support to Anna Hazare. He also laid emphasis on their support to Anna Hazare in future.
The VHP chief termed Team Anna’s movement historic but stated that nobody has the right to insult the parliament and its members.
