Madras HC gives go ahead to Koodankulam plant Source: VSK-CHENNAI Date: 8/31/2012 4:05:27 PM CHENNAI, August 31, 2012 : The Madras High Court on Friday gave a go-ahead to the Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP) saying there are no environmental issues associated with the building of the plant. The court also ordered the setting up of schools and a hospital around the plant premises. A PIL had sought environmental clearance for the project before the plant is commissioned.
