REHMAN NEVER VISITED SECRETARIAT: POLICE
Bhubaneswar,26/12-The Commissionerate Police on Friday claimed that the arrested suspected al-Qaeda operative Abdul Rehman never visited the State Secretariat in his life as reported in media that he had visited the seat power in October this year.
Commissioner of Police Dr RP Sharma said another person named A Rehman, a Government employee, had visited the Secretariat after availing a formal pass.
“After getting allegation that Rehman used to visit the Secretariat, we conducted a probe. In the course of investigation, it was found that a person named A Rehman had visited the Secretariat onOctober 7 at 11.15 am. But he is not Abdul Rehman of the Paschimakachha village under the Jagatpur police station. The real visitor works as a Peon at the Cuttack Chief District Medical Office (CDMO),” clarified Sharma.
