“Siva Bhave Jiva Seva”,

Press Note by Prantha Seva Pramukh Shri RamaRajasekhar

SevaBharathi is a movement of service.  The organization is basically inspired by the sayings of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa “Siva Bhave Jiva Seva”, which inspired Swami Vivekananda to proclaim, “Serve man as the manifestation of God”
Sevabharathi through the concept of “Pancha Kaarya” or the five avenues of empowerment namely a) Education, b) Health, c) Social welfare, d) Self – Sustenance and e) Disaster response, has been rendering extensive service among the lesser privileged, thus ensuring that the burden of poverty does not divert them from the fabric of our tradition.
RSS Seva Bharathi volunteers are toiling from the day one towards rescue and relief operations during the recent rain floods at Chennai, Cuddalore and Pondicherry.
A team of teachers from Sriperambadhur is on a counseling mission at the flood affected areas of Chennai. Today they visited Gandhiji Nagar, Pulainathope which was one of the badly affected areas. They split into many teams each comprising of 5 teachers and they individually met nearly 100 flood affected families.  Almost everyone has voiced their happiness and thanked the teachers who not only visited each house but also spoke to them individually.

A new current account for the purpose of rehabilitation work has been opened with Andhra Bank that has 80G IT exemption for any donations.
