kendrapada,24/12-VHP: PRctivists of Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Wednesday submitted a petition to the district Collector here, demanding a thorough inquiry into the possible link of suspected terrorist Abdul Rehman in the district and if Rehman came to the district for cadre recruitment for the Al Qaeda.
The activists demanded identification of the associates of Rehman and action against them. Similarly, they alleged that the coastal district has become a safe haven of Bangladeshi infiltrators. Unabated entry of Bangladeshi infiltrators into the coastal villages has been going on due to lack of proper coastal security. So time has come to identify the Bangladeshi immigrants and inquire about their possible suspected activities in the district by taking steps for deporting them from the district, they said.
The activists also demanded before Collector Debaraj Senapati for a probe into the incident where five live bombs were seized from a bag behind ancient Gobindajew temple on December 3 and ascertain if there was any link of the incident with the terrorist organization.
Meanwhile, the activists also demanded a probe as to how a decapitated head of a calf was found at the busy new bus stand area of Kendrapada a couple of days back and establish the man behind the scene for his attempt to create possible tension in the communally sensitive district.
