Scribe Siddhartha Kanungo to get Narad Samman this year

Bhubaneswar: Senior journalist and Press Trust of India, Odisha Branch chief Siddhartha Kanungo will be honoured with the coveted ‘Narada Samman-2016’ at a special function here.

The ‘Narada Samman’ Utsav would be organised at the Idcol Auditorium at 6 pm on May 22 on behalf of the Vishwa Sambad Kendra.

Retired IAS Officer Dr Hrushikesh Panda and retired Sanskrit Reader of the Utkal University will grace the occasion as chief guest and guest of honour, respectively.

Journalist Kanungo would be honoured with the Samman by the guests, said organisation’s secretary Sumant Kumar Panda.

Scribes like Arun Kumar Panda, Bhagaban Nayakburma, Rajaram Satpathy, Gopalkrushna Mohapatra, Late Gopal Mishra, Sudhir Kumar Das, Barendrakrushna Dhal, Bhagirathi Mahasuar, Bhaskar Parichha, Prabhukalyan Mohapatra, Pratap Mohanty and Jagabandhu Mishra have already been honoured with the Samman.
