Bhubaneswar,8/12:The Initiative for Moral and Cultural Training Foundation (IMCT) Odisha branch will organise chorus singing of the Bande Mataram at the OUAT stadium here on December 12.
The event is aimed at creating patriotism among the youths and expressing solidarity for the soldiers who guarding the borders at a time when the situation is tense.
IMCT State president Dr Purna Chandra Mahapatra will preside over a meeting to be held on the occasion where former VC of Utkal University of Culture and organizing committee chief Bimalendu Mohanty will make the participants take oath for loyalty and love for the country. The one-hour-long singing which will begin at 9.30 amwill be moderated by lyricist and singer Laxmikant Palit and group.
Notably, the IMCT has been founded by S Gurumurti, which has been holding such events throughout the country for creating patriotic feelings among the students and youths.
At a Press meet held here on Thursday, IMCT Odisha branch executive president Murali Monohar Sharma requested the heads of educational institutions to spare their students to participate in the chorus singing.
