BHUBANESWAR,(vsk odisha)12/12:“Our patriotic soldiers stand vigil on
the Nation’s borders round the clock, against all odds, in inclement weather
ranging from the boiling desert of Rajasthan to the deathly freezing cold in
the Himalayas. The guardians of our liberty are unsung heroes who lay down
their lives for their motherland with a smile on their lips. So, sharing an
hour of us with a noble cause as singing of the National song is a floral
acknowledgment to the soldiers”, as said by the President of the ‘Initiative
for Moral and Cultural Training (IMCT) Foundation’s Odisha chapter, eminent physician,
Dr Purna Chandra Mohapatra in the ‘Voice of Unity’ programme by IMCTOD at the
OUAT stadium here, this morning. “IMCT is a socio-cultural organisation which
has been formed to inculcate the values and importance of nationalism,
nationhood and human values among present age youth and students as well as to
create a sustainable stress free world”, he said. Working President, Mr Murali
Manohar Sharma hyped on the need of instilling of patriotism in the minds of
youth and students of our country. IMCT foundation held a programme titled ‘Voice of Unity’ today , from 9.30 am to
10.30 am, in which a congregation of 25,000 school children sang the National
Song, ‘Vande Mataram’ collectively at the OUAT stadium in
Siripur, Bhubaneswar. This initiative was dedicated to the brave fighters on
the border. The function was
presided over by the President of IMCTOD and eminent physician, Dr. Purno
Chandra Mohapatra. The Chief of the organizing committee and the noted
educationist, Dr. Bimalendu Mohanty administered the oath of nationalism to the
attendees. Music maestro of the state, Laxmikant Palit
joined the occasion with troops and presented the audiences with patriotic
numbers. The programme was of one hour’s duration. Notable social servant,
Prof. Anil Mishra gave the key note address. Artist, Ashrumochan Mohanty compeered
the event. 30 nos of schools from across the twin city took part in the grand
gala. General Secretary, Mr Anil Dhir thanked all for their participation in
the nationalistic event. Secretary of IMCTOD, Archana Palei delivered the
welcoming address and introduced the guests. Since last eight years, the
foundation has been holding ‘fairs’ in different states which highlight the
role of agencies and organisations that render service to humanity. It is also
learnt that, the foundation’s Odisha chapter is also holding for the first
time, a four day Fair at Bhubaneswar from the 15th to the 18th December at the
Baramunda Field, Bhubaneswar.
