ABVP protests course fees hike
Puri: ABVP members on Monday staged a demonstration protesting large-scale corruption, lack of basic facilities and hike in course fees at the Astarang College. ABVP Astarang secretary Kalandi Swain alleged that despite being a major college in Puri district, this college runs without adequate facilities. The demands included fee hike rollback, setting up of cycle-stand, students’ common room, library, laboratory, drinking water facility, introduction of NCC and NSS and a boundary wall for the college. The protestors threatened to continue its protest until and unless the issues are not solved by the college authorities.
