Bangluru 7 March. RSS today filed a complaint against Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for his remarks on linking RSS with the murder of Mahatma Gandhi.
RSS Akhil Bharatiya SahSampark Pramukh Ram Madhav, along with Justice (Rtd) Parvata Rao, Justice (Rtd) Vishnu Kak, Eminent lawyer in Supreme Court Bharat Kumar together handed over the written complaint addressing Chief Election Commissioner of India. The complaint was filed at office of the Anil Kumar Jha, Election Commissioner of Karnataka near KR Circle Bangluru.
Earlier in the day, Mr. Ram Madhav tweeted that the RSS will take action against the Rahul Ganghi. "Legal action will be initiated against Rahul Gandhi for his irresponsible utterances linking RSS with Gandhi's murder.
The RSS has taken offence at the statement made by Mr. Gandhi at a rally in Maharashtra on Thursday.
In Delhi, former BJP President M. Venkaiah Naidu said the party supports the RSS's decision to take legal recourse. "I am happy that the RSS has decided to initiate legal action against the Congress party and its leaders for the slanderous campaign linking RSS with the murder of Mahatma Gandhi. All Inquiry Commissions have absolved the RSS of any role in this heinous act. Still the Congress leaders have been persistently continuing its scandalous campaign," he said.
Mr. Naidu said the Congress is trying to divert attention of people from "scams and scandals, omissions and commissions" by resort to "dirty propaganda".
"It is the Congressmen and their party which is murdering Mahatma Gandhi day in and day out by totally going against the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and doing exactly the opposite of whatever Mahatma Gandhi stood for." he said.
