Issue of ‘Bhakti- Shakti’ Utsav at Jamkhed (Dist. Nagar)
Has Govt. ever dared to even touch banners displayed by non- Hindus ?
Jamkhed (Dist. Nagar) : On the occasion of ‘Tukaram-beej’ and Shivajayanti, ‘Bhakti-Shakti Utsav’ has been organized from 12thMarch and banners regarding ‘Hari-naam Saptaah’ to be held during the festival were displayed in the town. The banners were not sponsored by any political party nor did they contain any objectionable matter related to elections; even then, Dy. Zonal Officer Sandip Kokade and his squad tore off the banners in a very insulting manner, along with pictures of Jagatguru Tukaram Maharaj, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Dr. Baasaheb Ambedkar. The banners and pictures were removed with the help of JCB without giving any prior notice about the proposed action. The activists, who made inquiry with the concerned Government officers, got very rude answers and the incident was condemned only by ‘Shiva Pratishthan Hindustan’ and few local residents. (Only one pro-Hindu organization protests against incident of tearing off banners related to Hindus’ program which exhibits lack of unity amongst Hindus. This situation has been created because powerful pro-Hindu organizations are indifferent towards attacks on Hindu Dharma ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
