LIFT THREE-TIME NEET CAP, DEMANDS ABVP

Bhubaneswar,Members of the Akhil  Bharatiya  Vidayarthi Parishad (ABVP) gheraoed the Central Board of Secondary Association (CBSE) office here on Friday demanding the CBSE to give permission to the students to appear at the National  Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) who have sat for it thrice earlier.
The ABVP said the CBSE has issued notification for the NEET to be held on May 7. But the notification said the students who have appeared thrice for the medical entrance cannot apply for the NEET. As the decision has been taken a short time before the entrance test there is strong resentment among the students.
As the students prepared themselves before one year for the entrance test to be held on May 7, the unexpected decision has put a question mark on their career. Had they been informed before one year, they would have mentally prepared themselves. The decision just before six days has disappointed the students and their parents. Thousands of students are going to be affected, said ABVP city president Krushanchit Jena.
The ABVP has written a letter to the Union Minister of Human Resource Development and provided a copy to the CBSE Chairman and Higher Education Minister.  ABVP city secretary Manas Sahu led a delegation which met the CBSE authorities and submitted a memorandum. Among others,  Amitabh Barik, Bailochan Sahu, Nirakar Sahu, Gama Sigma, Rajiv Lochan Dash and Subhajit Behera were present
